Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Level 1 Field Service Engineer to join our team to provide exceptional AV (audio-visual) support and services for an executive briefing room. This position is ideal for an individual with a strong understanding of AV systems, customer service skills, and a desire to work in a high-profile environment. The engineer will be responsible for installing, troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing AV equipment and systems while ensuring a seamless experience for users.
This position will be located within a highly visible, customer-facing location that provides support to Executive level internal and external customers. Most work will be completed on-site within the facility located in Redmond, WA.
What you'll do as the Level I Field Services Engineer:

Installation & Setup:
  • Assist in the installation, configuration, and calibration of AV systems for executive briefing rooms, including projectors, screens, microphones, cameras, and control systems.
  • Ensure that all AV equipment is properly set up and integrated within the room's infrastructure.
Troubleshooting & Maintenance:
  • Provide first-level technical support by diagnosing and troubleshooting AV-related issues in the executive briefing room.
  • Perform regular maintenance, software updates, and ensure systems are fully operational.
  • Replace faulty equipment and components when necessary, ensuring minimal downtime for critical meetings and presentations.
Customer Interaction:
  • Deliver excellent customer service by engaging with executives, staff, and guests to ensure smooth AV system performance during meetings and presentations.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for users needing AV assistance, providing on-site support in a professional manner.
System Monitoring & Reporting:
  • Monitor the health and functionality of AV systems, reporting on any issues or potential improvements.
  • Keep accurate records of service logs, repairs, and preventive maintenance tasks.
Collaboration & Support:
  • Collaborate with senior engineers and AV teams for escalated issues and project support.
  • Assist in training staff on basic operation and best practices for AV systems.
What you will bring to the team:
  • Education & Experience:
    • Associate's degree in a relevant technical field or equivalent experience in AV systems, electronics, or a related area.
    • 1+ years of hands-on experience with AV installations, configuration, and troubleshooting (preferably in corporate or executive settings).
    • Experience with Surface Hub, Msft Teams and Remote Device Management
  • Certifications:
    • AVIXA Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) or similar certifications.
    • Crestron, Extron, or AMX certifications.
  • Skills & Knowledge:
    • Familiarity with AV equipment such as projectors, microphones, speakers, cameras, and control systems.
    • Basic knowledge of AV signal flows and cabling.
    • Proficiency in using AV control systems and software (e.g., Crestron, Extron, AMX).
    • Understanding of network-based AV systems (IP-based AV control, video conferencing, etc.).
  • Soft Skills:
    • Strong communication skills and customer service orientation.
    • Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks effectively.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
    • Professional demeanor, especially when interacting with executive-level personnel.
Working Conditions:
  • This position requires on-site support at the executive briefing room, with occasional travel to other locations as needed.
  • The role may require flexibility in hours to accommodate high-priority meetings or events, including occasional weekends or after-hours support.
  • Must be able to lift and carry AV equipment (up to 40 lbs) as needed for installations and repairs.
Qualified candidates can expect a salary range of $60,000-80,000.
