Position Summary
Odyssey Systems is seeking a Network Administrator to support the Aerospace Dominance Enabler Division (AFLCMC/HBZ) at Hill Air Force Base in Ogden, Utah. The HBZ Division serves as the Air Force's technical, acquisition, and sustainment authority, delivering comprehensive and mission-critical support to the warfighter. The division oversees a wide range of Air Force systems including Electronic Warfare, Range Systems, Air Combat Training, Command and Control Systems, Advanced Radar Threat Systems, and Combat Survivor Evader Locator, among others. In addition, HBZ provides ongoing support to depot-level sustainment, Foreign Military Sales (FMS), and partners such as the U.S. Army, Navy, Pacific Air Forces, ACC, AFMC, and AETC. This role specifically supports the Live Mission Operations Capability (LMOC) program within AFLCMC/HBZ. LMOC is the Air Force's first system to enable real-time weapon modeling and automated data delivery to both live training and debriefing environments. By automating previously manual processes, LMOC enhances training value, density, and fidelity across all phases of live training - from mission planning and execution to reconstruction and review.
Responsibilities
Duties include, but not limited to: The Network Administrator will perform a wide range of duties in support of classified and unclassified systems. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
System and Network Administration:
Provide support on system administration of network, web, and/or communication systems, including Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN) systems (i.e., Unclassified/Classified), to include network security on unclassified and classified systems, i.e., command and control systems.
- Provide a venue for classified communications for product teams to outline sensitive requirements, designs, shortfalls, and systems specific to the customer and the warfighter.
- Assist with assessment, development, implementation, management, maintenance, and administration of the LAN, Electronic Messaging Service, Telecommunications Infrastructure (phones, voicemail, videoconferencing), and other Government-required information technology services.
- Perform VMware server administration, including high availability server solutions.
- Assist with installation of communications cabling services to include installation of Cat 5 cabling, fiber cable installation, terminal ends, etc.
- Plan, coordinate, install government-furnished computer systems, and continuously analyze IT system design, hardware, and software.
- Develop, recommend, and install solutions and upgrades to ensure availability, integrity, efficiency, and reliability of all components of the Branch and Division's computers and network.
- Conduct in-depth analyses of system usage, user complaints, traffic interruptions, hardware and software capabilities, and other relevant factors, as well as interface with Air Force Networks.
Application and Help Desk Support:
- Assist with development of web-based Information Technology Equipment (ITE) Management, Portal Applications, and other custom Government software applications.
- Provide help desk management functions, to include serving as a customer support specialist for technology networks, computer capabilities, managing IT trouble tickets, and assisting with customer access to Continuous Acquisition and Life-Cycle Support applications, e.g., System Program Office Management Information System, ABSS, CAS, Contractor Performance Assessment Report System (CPARs), Joint Computer-Aided Acquisition and Logistic Support, Joint Engineering Data Management Information and Control Systems, Defense Security Assistance Management System, and other future spiral developments or custom standardized Government software applications.
Cybersecurity and Certification Support:
- Develop and produce documentation and artifacts required to certify unclassified and classified network systems.
- Maintain, manage, and assist with development of documentation required for DoD Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process (DIACAP) or Risk Management Framework (RMF) certification for Unclassified, Classified, and higher infrastructure.
- Review proposed new computer systems, networks, and commercial software designs for potential security risks, as well as user interface.
- Advise government decision makers on computer systems' security shortfalls and areas needing improvement or modification.
Systems Integration and Analysis:
- Resolve integration issues related to the implementation of new systems with the existing infrastructure and monitor new or emerging technologies and software to assist in the identification of the most effective approach or methodology to be applied to the Division computer systems and network.
- Perform systems analysis of project tracking systems.
- Provide support of IT and/or communications systems/functions managed and maintained by the Branch and Division-network infrastructure, wireless systems, and voice systems.
Qualifications
Citizenship: Must be a US citizen Minimum Required Qualifications
- Clearance: Must have an Active Secret
- Education: Master's or Bachelor's degree in a related field and at least 3 years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, 3 of which must be in the DoD OR

- 7 years of directly related experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, 5 of which must be in the DoD
- Certifications:
- Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II Certification as outlined in DoD 8570.01-M (e.g., Security+ CE, CCNA Security, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications: Technical Skills
- Experience with Information Systems Technology and Computer Science
- Background in Business Systems
- Proficiency with LAN/WAN, VMware server administration, and classified/unclassified networks
- Familiarity with DIACAP or RMF processes and associated documentation
- Understanding of government IT applications including ABSS, CAS, CPARs, JCALS, JEDMICS, and DSAMS
Interpersonal Skills
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Experience interfacing with DoD personnel and supporting cross-functional teams
- Capable of managing help desk operations and resolving user issues in a classified environment
