Emergency Response: Yes - Must be available to perform a primary assignment in support of DTE's emergency response to storms or other events that impact service to our customers. Job Summary
Intermediate level engineer or scientist responsible for independently evaluating, selecting and applying standard engineering and scientific techniques, procedures and criteria. Uses judgment in applying or recommending adaptions and modifications. Typical assignments are in the areas of engineering or scientific design, problem solving, and technical support for the optimum operation and maintenance of company assets. Participates on teams of field employees, technicians, engineers and other personnel. Key Accountabilities
The successful candidate will possess experience with environmental remediation and environmental due diligence focused on practice in Michigan (any broader experience in other States is a plus).Key requirements include remediation project management (simple and complex projects) with a focus on Part 201 (Part 213 a plus), project strategy development and implementation, and routine regulatory reporting.Environmental due diligence experience should include a working knowledge of Michigan specific process (including Phase 1, Phase 2, Baseline Environmental Assessments, and Due Care).The ideal candidate may possess broader experience in State and Federal environmental requirements and show a working knowledge and application of regulatory/policy scientific and/or engineering skills. Performs engineering assignments, proposing solutions to engineering related problems. Minimum Education & Experience Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Science job relevant discipline and a minimum of 2 years of job relevant experience Other Qualifications
Preferred Experience Experience in some or all of the following State and Federal regulated areas: Michigan Part 201, Part 213, and Environmental Due Diligence / All Appropriate Inquiry including Michigan BEA process Other Qualifications Preferred:Master's Degree or higher in Engineering or job relevant discipline (MS, MBA, JD, PhD) Other Requirements: Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, primarily Excel and Word Additional Information
