AESC is expanding its footprint in the United States with gigafactories in Kentucky, South Carolina, and Tennessee to meet the growing demand for EV and BESS batteries and strengthen its presence in the North American market. AESC's Tennessee gigafactory in Smyrna, which has been operational since 2012, produces batteries for Nissan. The Kentucky gigafactory in Bowling Green will supply Mercedes-Benz with high-performance battery cell modules. The South Carolina gigafactory in Florence will supply technology-leading battery cells for new electric models produced in BMW Group's Spartanburg plant. As the Manager of Facilities, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance, repair, and operations of facility systems, utilities, and equipment in support of a high-volume manufacturing environment. You will coordinate and manage preventative maintenance, repairs, and projects to ensure the efficient operation of critical systems such as refrigeration, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems. Additionally, you will lead safety initiatives, maintain compliance with industry standards, and drive continuous improvements in facility operations.

• Preventative Maintenance & Repairs:
• Coordinate and follow up on preventative maintenance schedules for refrigeration units, plumbing, electrical systems, overhead doors, and other mechanical systems.
• Assist in and oversee basic repairs for electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems as needed.
• Project Coordination:
• Read blueprints, plan projects, and manage incidental carpentry, masonry, painting, and plaster work to ensure tasks are completed effectively and efficiently.
• Provide specification, design, and installation support for manufacturing and facility operations.
• Documentation & Compliance:
• Review and maintain detailed maintenance logs and budgets, ensuring accurate and timely documentation for all tasks.
• Ensure all equipment, facility systems, and utilities in assigned areas are in a proper state of operation and repair.
• Safety & Standards:
• Develop and implement safety procedures for all equipment in assigned areas.
• Maintain compliance with 5S, IATF16949, VDA 6.3, and ISO14001 standards, proactively identifying and addressing safety concerns tprevent accidents.
• Leadership & Coordination:
• Lead and coordinate the work of employees and contractors, ensuring the successful completion of projects and maintenance tasks.
• Assist in the RFP process and lead contractors from project inception through commissioning of new equipment.
• Complete other duties as assigned

• Educational Background:
  1. A four-year degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or Engineering Technology is required. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Experience:
  1. At least 5 years of comprehensive experience in a technical capacity supporting an industrial manufacturing environment involving complex automated equipment.
  2. Minimum of 2 years in a leadership role, coordinating the work of employees or contractors. It is preferred to have at least 2 years of supervisory/managerial experience overseeing a team of 5 or more employees.
• Strong understanding of controls and integration from PLC and system controls from monitoring and remote adjustments.
• Demonstrated experience with Reliabilty Centered Maintenance practices.
• Skills & Competencies:
• Strong understanding of facilities engineering, including root cause analysis (RCA), problem-solving techniques, and process control management for resolving quality and throughput issues.
• Above-average troubleshooting and computer skills, with the ability to work independently without close supervision.
• Proficient in data-driven decision-making, project planning, and communication.
• Travel:
• Occasional travel may be required to oversee offsite projects or support new facility developments.
• Understands and follows all standards of IATF16949 and VDA 6.3 quality standards. (Training and awareness will be provided for those who are not familiar with these standards)
• Understands and follows all standards of ISO12001 environmental standards. (Training and awareness will be provided for those who are not familiar with these standards)

• Industry Knowledge:
• Experience in a high-volume manufacturing facility, especially in the automotive OEM or Tier 1 supplier sectors.
• Experience with new model launches, equipment design, installation, and commissioning.
• Knowledge of new plant design, construction, and commissioning processes.
• Technical Proficiency:
• Advanced proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, and other PC or mainframe applications, with the ability to develop specialized, highly technical applications or solutions tailored to specific business needs.
