Location: Mt. Sterling, IL

Department: Accounting

Reports To: Director of Accounting

Salary Range: $82,672 to $124,008 annually, plus bonus opportunity

As an Accounting Manager, you will manage and develop an Accounting team to ensure all processes are completed with a high degree of accuracy and confidentiality. You will manage the end of period closing and reporting activities including general ledger and fixed asset accounting.

WHAT YOU'LL DO



  • Collaborates with the Controller and external auditors to ensure financial reports are compliant with Generally Accepted Accounting practices.
  • Assists in processing the company annual budget.
  • Manages the financial analysis process to ensure standard practices are in place.
  • Responsible for ongoing employee coaching and development including performance reviews with team members.
  • Manages current and new company accounting procedures that reinforce internal controls.
  • Leads continuous improvement efforts while applying lean thinking and tools to identify and eliminate waste.


YOU MUST HAVE



  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent Dot Foods experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of accounting experience.
  • Leadership necessary to manage people and processes.
  • Strong knowledge in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to meet established deadlines/goal dates.


YOU MAY ALSO HAVE



  • Prior experience with PeopleSoft Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) System, and specifically the General Ledger module.
  • Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical skills.


ROLE SPECIFICS



  • Supervision - Manages a team of Staff Accountants, Accounting Supervisor, and others as assigned.
  • Travel - Occasional overnight travel for internal trainings and meetings. Must have ability to travel independently as needed, without restriction by all modes of transportation, including car, plane, or train.
