The Senior Business Development Specialist plays a dual role in managing and expanding relationships within the insurance industry while also driving strategic business development initiatives. This position plays a crucial role in maintaining and expanding partnerships with insurance carriers, adjusters, and claims professionals, while also identifying and pursuing new business opportunities in the insurance and legal industries. This position requires a strong mix of client relationship management, market strategy, and industry engagement to support the organization's growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary liaison for insurance claims clients, fostering strong relationships with adjusters, carriers, and claims professionals.
  • Ensure compliance with client service level agreements and billing requirements, providing updates to leadership as needed.
  • Oversee client satisfaction and engagement by implementing effective communication and support strategies.
  • Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events.
  • Develop and execute strategies to expand relationships with both insurance and legal clients.
  • Research market trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities to inform business growth strategies.
  • Facilitate meaningful interactions between consultants and clients to enhance business opportunities.
  • Support the preparation and execution of client proposals, presentations, and other business development materials.
  • Assist in the development of promotional materials, campaigns, and strategic marketing initiatives targeting the insurance sector.
  • Maintain accurate records of client interactions, business development activities, and progress using the CRM system.
  • Track and analyze performance metrics related to client acquisition, retention, and revenue growth.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree required (preferred fields: Business, Marketing, Communications, or Engineering)

Experience

  • 4-7 years of experience in business development, client relationship management, or sales, preferably within the insurance, legal, or professional services industries.
  • Previous experience working with insurance claims management or forensic engineering is a plus.
  • Established network of contacts within the insurance industry preferred.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-starter who is able to work unsupervised.
  • Strong organizational, time management and follow-through skills.
  • Ability to build strong working relationships.
  • Proven aptitude in using MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel and comparable Mac programs.
  • Demonstrated basic understanding of database programs, the Internet, and web-based meeting programs.
  • Adobe Acrobat and Photoshop skills are a plus.
  • Creative and analytical business development skills a plus.
  • Previous experience speaking in public is a plus.
  • Must be willing to travel as required - 40%.
