Job Summary and Responsibilities

A highly experienced and safety-focused Safety Manager with a strong background in managing safety programs for wireless construction projects. Expertise in ensuring compliance with safety regulations, industry standards, and best practices in high-risk environments such as cell tower construction, network installations, and wireless infrastructure projects. Skilled in identifying and mitigating safety hazards, providing safety training, and overseeing the execution of safety protocols to prevent accidents, injuries, and ensure the wellbeing of all personnel on-site. Adept at fostering a culture of safety across all levels of the organization and working closely with project managers, engineers, and construction teams to ensure that safety remains a top priority throughout the lifecycle of wireless construction projects.

Provide subject matter expertise on wireless construction quality standards

  • Serve as a resource to our employees for customer specifications regarding OSHA regulations, ANSI standards and MNS safety policies.
  • Provide assistance to review and verify required critical certifications for field technicians, internal tower crews and General Contractors.
  • Participate and provide leadership for weekly market safety meetings involving discussions to mitigate hazards, conduct incident root cause investigations, or assist operations with pre-job planning.
  • Support the Market Operations Construction Team and Field crews
  • Implement, interact and maintain pro-active communication with Market Operations and Regional/Corporate Safety
  • Provide insight to the training team as to company & GC orientations training program revisions, practical training modules and methodology
  • Provide assistance and support to Customer, State and Federal entities during inspections, inquiries or corrective action initiatives

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree, Associates degree or equivalent work experience (Bachelor's Degree Preferred)

  • 3+ years of experience in performing on-site safety audits of tower crews
  • 5+ years of Wireless construction experience
  • OSHA 500 hour certification preferred
  • Expertise in electrical, crane/man-lift, Competent Tower Climber safety standards preferred
  • Must be able to travel frequently, conduct safety and quality inspections of tower crews at customer cell sites in home base and adjoining states in designated territories.
  • This position requires good oral and written communication skills
