Supply Chain Planning Manager, S&OP

The S&OP Manager is responsible for overseeing and driving the integration of Niagara's sales, operations, and customer teams to meet strategic goals, service targets, and cost objectives. In this leadership role, the manager will support the monthly S&OP process, manage new customer onboarding, and execute strategic initiatives that enhance supply chain performance via product and project management, service planning, SKU rationalization, and overall support for Niagara execution teams. The S&OP Manager will collaborate cross-functionally to optimize inventory, production, and capacity planning, while fostering key partnerships with customers and internal teams. They will also guide the development of operational models and hold responsibility for design & onboarding of new customers ensuring alignment with business goals. Additionally, the S&OP Manager will lead a team of analysts, coach them in their professional development, and ensure seamless operational execution.

Essential Functions

  • Strategic Capacity Planning and Execution:
    • Lead the development and execution of network planning strategies to optimize distribution and production capabilities across multiple locations.
      • Consisting of production, inventory, deployment, and sourcing strategies.
    • Oversee annual capacity expansion projects and align resources with changing business needs and market demands.
    • Serve as the primary liaison between Niagara's expansion teams (e.g., sales, expansion planning, engineering, finance) and internal operational stakeholders (e.g., manufacturing, logistics, supply chain), ensuring understanding & alignment on business plans, strategies, and customer expectations to drive successful project execution.
    • Manage the S&OP process, ensuring coordination of supply chain resources to meet customer demand efficiently, minimizing waste and shortages.
    • Provide decision support to operational teams.
  • Operational Model Development & Customer Onboarding:
    • Design and standardize operational models and guidelines to streamline processes between Niagara and its customers, ensuring successful start-ups.
    • Serve as the Supply Chain SME during the deal and bid cycle, promoting Niagara's capabilities and competencies to potential customers.
    • Lead the SC teams to plan Finished Goods (FG) and Raw Materials (RM) for new product lines at customer launch, ensuring successful planning, inventory execution, and cross-functional collaboration.
    • Work closely with internal stakeholders (sales, IT, product development, quality) to align production launch strategies and ensure smooth execution.
    • Onboard new customers into Niagara's supply chain, serving as the accountable lead until a smooth handoff to operational teams.
    • Establish KPIs and metrics in collaboration with customers and BI teams to track progress and ensure success.
  • Continuous Improvement and Change Management:
    • Lead continuous improvement projects aimed at optimizing Niagara's supply chain operations, enhancing efficiency, and driving customer satisfaction.
    • Guide the implementation of necessary changes to supply chain strategies and processes, using automation and technology to support growth and meet customer commitments.
    • Foster change management initiatives across the supply chain, working with cross-functional teams to drive sustainable improvements.
  • Leadership and Project Management:
    • Manage and mentor a team of S&OP analysts, fostering a culture of collaboration, performance excellence, and professional growth.
    • Uphold strong moral and ethical standards, setting a positive example for the team through leadership and decision-making.
    • Lead strategic and special projects such as SKU rationalization, new product startup planning, and network design optimization.
    • Partner with internal stakeholders (finance, sales, manufacturing, program, and planning) to ensure alignment on inventory strategies, supply chain processes, and operational goals.
    • Provide ongoing support to Niagara's beverage operations teams, ensuring alignment on business processes and customer success metrics.
  • Technical Knowledge:
    • Good working knowledge of systems such as Oracle and Excel. The candidate should be resourceful in understanding key technical aspects and limitations, enabling them to effectively communicate needs and solutions between Niagara's teams and customers' supply chains.
    • Ability to learn and adapt to Niagara's existing IT tools.
    • Basic understanding of supply chain optimization including network flow optimization, inventory optimization, and facility planning.
    • Knowledge of Demand & Supply Planning Technology is preferred, including:
      • Setup, customization & solution validation of various modules.
      • Continuous improvement and automation to meet business rules/needs.
      • Work with Solution Architect to setup data integrity policies & procedures.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Qualifications:
    • 6 years - Experience in Planning, MRP, Procurement, Logistics, Finance or similar function
    • 4 Years - Experience managing people/projects

    • 10+ Years - Experience in Purchasing, MRP, Procurement, Planning or similar function

  • Technical Resourcefulness and MS Office Proficiency: Resourceful in acquiring and utilizing the right technical information and collaborating with subject matter experts to address supply chain challenges. Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, to analyze data and present findings.
  • Adaptability and Multi-tasking: Ability to balance tactical and strategic priorities, work well under pressure, and adapt quickly to changing business needs while handling multiple tasks simultaneously.

Education

  • Minimum Required:
    • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Mathematics, Economics or other science / math related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Preferred (Optimal Candidate):
    • Master's Degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Mathematics, Economics or other science / math related field, or equivalent work experience
