Overview

$10,000 sign on bonus, $2.500 relocation over 50 miles - external applicants only.

The Counselor provides psychotherapy to patients in the area of Psychiatry/Psychology.


Qualifications

Educational Requirements
    Master's Degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, Related Field
Certification & Licensure Requirements
  • Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) Illinois Upon Hire
  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) Illinois Upon Hire
  • Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT) Illinois Upon Hire
Experience Requirements
  • Prior experience providing psychotherapy in a clinical setting. Prior experience with the treatment of a variety of mental health disorders.
Other Requirements
Strong communication and listening skills. Ability to work effectively with a multitude of individuals at various organizational levels. Ability to clarify goals and see projects through to completion.
Work Experience: Candidates who specialize in working with children (age 4-17) and their families

Responsibilities

  • Provides ongoing psychotherapy to patients of all ages and their families through individual and/or group settings, using techniques and interventions appropriate to the patient.
  • Performs initial mental health evaluations for patients, including assessing need for ongoing psychotherapy or other services.
  • Works with patient to develop treatment plan, including specific goals and objectives to be addressed in psychotherapy.
  • Provides case management, referrals, and discharge planning. Coordinates treatment and/or discharge with significant others, caregivers, employers, schools, involved welfare agencies, psychiatrist, and any other care provider as appropriate with permission of patient.
  • Identifies clinically appropriate level of care; facilitates transition between levels of care within Behavioral Health.
  • Assists with obtaining authorization for services whenever necessary.
  • Completes clinical documentation in medical record within guidelines and timeframes established by departmental policy. Ensures documentation is timely, concise, relevant, and meets payor/legal requirements.
  • Maintains patient confidentiality and fulfills provider responsibilities as specified under HIPAA, the Illinois Mental Health and Developmental Disabilities Code, and the Illinois Mental Health and Developmental Disabilities Confidentiality Act.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation range for this position is $27.9per hour - $46.59per hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
