Job Description:

Job Summary
  • This role will support the Flight Safety Audit Program (FSAP) by reviewing, interpreting, and analyzing collected flight deck observation data for patterns and trends. Key duties include performing periodic Observer quality checks reviewing observation content for proper threat, error, and UAS recognition, proper Threat and Error Management (TEM) descriptions, links between threats and errors, and use of coding. The Analyst will create detailed reports on leading events and will manage information flow by building reports for Leadership and informational articles for the Pilot group. Additionally, the Analyst will manage data sharing between departments and perform data analysis for incoming data requests.

Responsibilities
  • Provide oversight of the data cleaning process to ensure timely completion
  • Perform analysis of the FSAP data to identify correlations and patterns
  • Generate reports for internal and external customers
  • Work with other Analysts to compare FSAP data against other Safety Programs
  • Maintain Observer training and qualification records
  • Coordinate Observer trip pulls for data cleaning, training, and in-office visits
  • Perform periodic audits and quality checks of the FSAP data and generates internal Observer quality reports with feedback on each Observer
  • May perform other job duties as directed by Employee's Leader
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Knowledge of instrument flying procedures
  • Knowledge of Air Traffic Control procedures
  • Knowledge of Minimum Equipment list procedures
  • Knowledge in developing presentations for both internal and external audiences preferred
  • Skilled in excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as superb proofreading skills
  • Skilled in excellent computer skills with an ability to learn new programs quickly
  • Ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate information with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to manage tasks while maintaining attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as a Team player
  • Ability to work under time constraints, with multiple deadlines and competing priorities
  • Ability to understand complex technical documents
Education
  • Required: High School Diploma or GED
  • Required: Bachelor's Degree
Experience
  • Intermediate level experience, fully functioning broad knowledge in:
    • Extensive database and analysis tool experience
    • Data mining tools
    • Specific analysis of narrative data
    • Flight Operations or Dispatch
    • Commercial airline operations; specifically Flight Operations
    • Line Operations Safety Audit (LOSA) experience

Physical Abilities
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 25-50 pounds as needed
  • 15% business travel with potential for increase or decrease based on Departmental needs
  • Ability to perform work duties from [limited space work station/desk/office area] for extended periods of time
  • Ability to communicate and interact with others in the English language to meet the demands of the job
  • Ability to use a computer and other office productivity tools with sufficient speed and accuracy to meet the demands of the job

  • Must maintain a well-groomed appearance per Company appearance standards as described in established guidelines
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must be able to comply with Company attendance standards as described in established guidelines
  • Must be energetic and self-motivated, possess a strong work ethic, and maintain a high degree of credibility and integrity
  • Must meet confidentiality expectations as to confidential, proprietary, and sensitive Company information
  • May require extended work hours per Leader's request

Pay & Benefits

  • Competitive market salary from $78,850 - $87,600 per year* depending on qualifications and experience. For eligible Leadership and individual contributor roles, additional bonus opportunities are available and awarded at the discretion of the company.
