*Job Title: Voice Field Technician*
*Location:* Indianapolis, IN *Job Description:* We are seeking experienced Voice Field Technicians to support a large national health system in replacing their emergency phone systems. This project involves: * Pulling the Customer Service Record (CSR) * Identifying Centrex and Copper Lines * Validating/testing existing Red Phones * Documenting non-existing Red Phones * Submitting work orders * Completing new installs or upgrades * Completing the disconnection process for old numbers/circuits *Top Skills and Experience Required:* * *Voice/Telephony Engineering:* Extensive experience in the telecommunications industry with in-depth knowledge of PSTN and protocols such as ISDN, CAS, PRI, POTS, and Centrex. * *Signaling Protocols:* Proficiency in working with signaling protocols, including Voice TDM, ISDN, PRI, T1/T3, DTMF, FXS, and FXO. * *Cabling Knowledge:* Understanding of voice and data cabling, including Cat3, Cat5, Cat6 wiring, and 66M blocks. * *Testing and Tagging:* Experience in tagging, toning, and testing from MDFs. * *Installation Experience:* Proven experience in installing phone hardware and systems. *Project Phases:* * *Site Survey:* Identify the locations of the phones and the associated numbers. * *Deployment:* Document, deploy, and test new phones. *Qualifications:* * Minimum 2 years of experience in voice/telephony engineering. * Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Excellent communication skills.
