Major Accountabilities
1) Define and maintain enterprise architecture strategy and frameworks aligned with organizational goals and priorities. 2) Lead the development, communication, and enforcement of architecture standards, principles, and guidelines for security, scalability, interoperability, and disaster recovery 3) Provide strategic direction for enterprise-wide technology adoption, ensuring alignment with business objectives and IT roadmaps 4) Chair the Technology Review Board (TRB), facilitating decision-making on new technologies, standards deviations, and architectural proposals. 5) Ensure technology decisions support long-term compatibility, reduce complexity, and enhance the scalability of the organization's technology landscape. 6) Oversee architectural governance processes, ensuring adherence to standards across programs, projects, and portfolios. 7) Drive innovation by researching and evaluating emerging technologies, providing recommendations for enterprise adoption. 8) Contribute to IT operational excellence objectives focused on reliable service delivery. 9) Governance and oversight of project solution quality specifically focused on reliability, benefits realization, security and safety. 10) Active stakeholder and driver in establishing best practices for architecture governance. 11) Own and lead the execution of the process development and improvement roadmap for architecture. 12) Partner and collaborate with other teams to deliver a holistic IT governance program with a coordinated set of continuous improvement initiatives. This position may require access to and/or use of information subject to control under the Department of Energy's Part 810 Regulations (10 CFR Part 810), the Export Administration Regulations (EAR) (15 CFR Parts 730 through 774), or the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) (22 CFR Chapter I, Subchapter M Part 120) (collectively, 'U.S. Export Control Laws'). For positions at Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Stations (PVNGS) all openings will require applicants to be a U.S. person. Home Based: Home based employees primarily work from their home offices and come into an APS facility on an as-needed basis. *Employees are expected to reside in Arizona (or New Mexico for Four Corners-based employees). *Working from a home office requires adequate technology and an appropriate ergonomic set up. *Role types are subject to change based on business need. |
