Overview

Nakupuna Consulting is seeking a Project Scheduler to support the successful execution of the Marine Corps Enterprise Network (MCEN-N) Wireless Lifecycle Refresh and Expansion across eight USMC West installations under the PEO Digital ISTC Program Office, Team 1. This position plays a critical role in developing, maintaining, and optimizing project schedules that enable the timely delivery of wireless network infrastructure modernization efforts, including site surveys, engineering and design, and the EFIST (Engineer, Furnish, Install, Secure, and Test) of wireless components. The Project Scheduler will work closely with project managers, technical teams, subcontractors, and government stakeholders to coordinate dependencies, track milestones, and flag potential risks or delays. The ideal candidate will bring precision, accountability, and agility to a fast-paced delivery environment, ensuring alignment between contract requirements, resource availability, and performance timelines. This role is essential to driving disciplined execution across geographically dispersed sites while enabling proactive decision-making and real-time project visibility.



Responsibilities

    Create, maintain, and deliver on a monthly basis six concurrent integrated master schedules in Microsoft to ensure resources are utilized effectively and efficiently.
  • In coordination with project leadership, develop and maintain a Project Schedule that accurately reflects the status of the project.
  • Build reporting capabilities in Microsoft Project (and other technologies such as OnePager) to drive schedule efficiencies, and decision making.
  • Assist in development of the Project Management Plan to ensure alignment with the Project Schedule.
  • Participate in Team meetings, client and milestone meetings; maintain ongoing awareness of project status.
  • Assist Project Managers in developing and maintaining project schedules throughout the duration of the project.
  • Assist in the creation of complex and professional documents that communicate project aspects to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Work with management and engineering teams to organize and draft supporting documents for client meetings and presentations.
  • Work with management and engineering teams to conduct bi-weekly Project Status Review (PSR) meetings with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support the creation of PSR meeting minutes and maintain required actions and activities lists for tracking project progress and ensure timely submission of completed reports at client-specified frequency.
  • Keep Nakupuna leadership abreast of project execution, and any issues (e.g., production, equipment/facilities, manpower, project delays, etc.) of potential impact to achievement of client requirements/deliverables or requirements exceeding defined scope of work.
  • Demonstrate problem solving skills when facing impediments.
  • Support the creation of processes and procedures governing effective/efficient project execution.
  • Assist Nakupuna Leadership as required to prepare required documentation, deliverables, or other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

Education/Experience: This position requires a Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 5 years of professional experience. The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to comprehend, analyze, and synthesize complex technical information. It is highly desired that the Project Scheduler is a power user of Microsoft Project and has an understanding of networking, voice and data, structured cabling projects, and IT systems.

The following experience is required:

  • Expert proficiency and in-depth experience using Microsoft Project.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications; primarily Word, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint.
  • Understanding of Project Management principles associated with Network Engineering, Information Technology and Agile Project Management

Military Installation Access: This position may require access to military installations. Must be a U.S. Citizen and be able to qualify for and obtain a base access pass. Must be able to obtain a favorable National Security Agency Check (NACI) including a FBI fingerprint check.

Clearance: This position requires an active Secret security clearance. Must be a U.S. citizen.

Physical Requirements: The ideal candidate must at a minimum be able to meet the following physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation:

  • Ability to engage in and follow audible communications in emergency situations.
