Job Description:
The Fleet Tracking and Telematic team is looking for a hardware development engineer who can supplement our team. In this role you will be responsible for bringing an indoor asset tracking solution from ideation, through prototyping, testing and all the way to production. You will be responsible for defining system specifications, integrating system components, creating and executing test campaigns. You will work closely with Client operation teams and with Joint Development Manufacturers (JDM) to scale the product to hundreds of Client warehouses. The role requires understanding of Electrical Engineering fundamentals including Wireless communication and wave propagation. Preferred knowledge and experience in developing or testing Bluetooth and RFID technologies. The candidate must be detail oriented, have superior verbal and written communication skills, strong organizational skills and are able to work independently. Other desired technical skills include embedded system programming, mechanical engineering fundamentals, using CAD tools i.e. Fusion360, Autocad etc. An Electrical and Computer Engineering or equivalent technical degree and 2-5 years of relevant experience is required.

REQUIRED SKILLS
* Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent
- 4+ years of relevant experience
- Strong fundamentals in analog, digital, and RF circuit design
- Experience with embedded systems prototyping and implementation
- Strong knowledge of wireless protocols, particularly Bluetooth and RFID technologies
- Experience with PCB design and layout
- Proficiency in using electronic test equipment (oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers)
- Strong mathematical and electromagnetic theory fundamentals
- Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to explain complex concepts across disciplines
- Experience in requirements gathering from stakeholders and translating to technical specifications

PREFERRED SKILLS
- Master's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent
- Experience in RF system design and optimization
- Proficiency in embedded firmware development (C/C++/Python)
- Experience with low-power design and battery optimization
- Knowledge of wireless certification requirements (FCC, CE, etc.)
- Experience with antenna design and RF propagation
- Familiarity with IoT protocols and standards
- Experience with signal processing and digital communication systems
- Track record of successful product development from concept to mass production
- Experience working with contract manufacturers and managing external partners
- Knowledge of EMC/EMI testing and compliance requirements
- Understanding of mechanical design considerations
- Familiar with test methodologies such as Design of Experiment and statistical analysis
