Department Summary The Event Operations Department at UNT Dallas is dedicated to creating seamless and memorable events that enhance the university's mission and community engagement. We manage all aspects of event planning, coordination, and execution, supporting a wide variety of functions, including academic events, student activities, conferences, and community partnerships. Our team collaborates with internal departments and external partners to ensure that every detail is handled, from logistics and technology to catering and security, providing an exceptional experience for all attendees. Position Overview This position is responsible for assisting with all daily event staging setups and event administrative duties. Set-up configurations may require, but are not limited to, theatre, classroom, runway fashion shows or banquet seating configurations. This position adheres to event space guidelines and procedures as administered by the University Event Manager and campus standards set by the fire marshal. Also responsible for the appearance and high levels of cleanliness of the meeting rooms, event spaces, campus wide settings and staging areas. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma/GED equivalent and two years related experience with some experience in a lead or supervisory role. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
