Job title: Contract Coordinator (100% Onsite)

Work Location: Waukegan Road, North Chicago, IL 60064

Duration: 8-9 months (possible extension)

Description:

  • Reason for Request To assist with large volume of Statements of Work (SOW) and Service Agreements (SA)
  • Daily Work Schedule Expectations Draft, Review and Negotiate SOWs and SAs, process requests through Conga and various other support management tools such as Provalido or SAP.



Top Skills Needed for each role

  • Legal background (JD or paralegal) with 3-5 Years of Experience ideal
  • Knowledge of Contract Law and Risk Management.
  • Stakeholder Management: Ability to align with legal, finance, AQ and business takeholders internally and manage complex communications.


  • Attention to Detail and Commercial Acumen.
  • Contracts Negotiation experience.
  • Organized, detail-oriented; proactive, able to ask questions as needed.
  • Strong Communication Skills; providing updates across functions; written and verbally.
  • Contractual or Paralegal experience highly preferred.



Purpose:

  • Describe the primary goals, objectives or functions or outputs of this position.
  • The Contract Coordinator in R&D Procurement will be responsible for timely and appropriate integration of agreements including creating assignment notices for the various agreement types including Clinical Study Agreements, Confidential Disclosure Agreements, Master Agreements, Investigator Initiated Agreements, Service Agreements ect.... In partnership with R&D Contract Operations, Legal and Business Stakeholders execute various activities to support companies' integration of contracts from company acquisitions.
  • This includes creating records in the contract lifecycle system, assigning historical agreements, requesting relevant shopping carts/Purchase Orders and communicating with relevant stakeholders as necessary for efficient completion of the project.



Responsibilities:

  • List up to 10 main responsibilities for the job. Include information about the accountability and scope.
  • Accountable for the timely preparation and execution of contract requests for R&D Procurement activity.
  • Manage and communicate priorities with stakeholders and the management team relating to the integration project status.
  • Manage the shopping cart/ purchase order request process.
  • Maintain data accuracy by entering relevant data and documents in the contract lifecycle system.
  • Maintain appropriate tracking of contracts and their assignment status by relevant timelines.
  • Support contract negotiation of agreements and amendments as needed for Loaner Agreements, Confidential Disclosure Agreements, Master Agreements, Investigator Initiated Agreements, Service Agreements, and any other procurement agreements.



Qualifications:

List required and preferred qualifications (up to 10). Include education, skills and experience.

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience; JD or paralegal preferred
  • At least 3 years of Clinical Research, business and/or contract/budget management experience. Ability to learn multiple concepts related to legal, compliance and regulatory matters in Clinical Research Experience in cross-functional interactions and working within a global environment is an advantage.
  • Proven negotiation, critical thinking, tact, and diplomacy skills.
  • Good planning and organizational skills and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment with competing priorities.
  • Sense of urgency and strong goal orientation.
  • Strong written and verbal communication including written and verbal fluency in English and local language (if not English).
  • Proactive and positive team player. Able to maintain high performance during times of ambiguity and change in the work environment.
  • Experience Conga and SAP/SRM is desirable.
