PROJECT MANAGER III Base Pay Rate: $60,359 Compensation above base pay rate may be offered based on relevant work experience. JOB SUMMARY: The Project Manager 3 - Fort Meade Manages and coordinates the activities of GIC employees and custodial supervisors and crew leaders in cleaning and maintaining GIC contract sites at Fort Meade. The Project Manager 3 - Fort Meade is charged with ensuring the standards of the contract are achieved, responds to customer inquiries, and is committed to quality improvement and team building. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage an Oversee an Ability One Custodial Contract in accordance with the contracts Scope of Work. Ensure all requirements of the contract are met and maintained throughout the contract term.
- Establish/create Standard Operating Procedures to align with Contractual and Organizational requirements and support the overall mission.
- Prepare and manage operating budget in accordance with organizational standards, policies & procedures. Monitor invoices, check for accuracy and approve for payment.
- Prepare purchase requisition and order supplies through authorized vendors. Monitor and track supply Inventory keeping proper documentation and record keeping.
- Provides direct supervision of custodial supervisors, crew leaders and mobile work crews in multiple building locations.
- Manage and assist with developing work schedules to meet contract requirements to include scheduling of routine floor care.
- Manage quality control efforts, processes and procedures ensuring customer satisfaction and conformance with specific contract requirements.
- Develops and manages transportation schedules and provides transportation to and from work site so that workforce can meet cleaning schedules
- Manage the maintenance and repairs of company vehicles as needed, establishing a preventive maintenance plan.
- Manage the maintenance and repairs of custodial equipment, establishing a preventive maintenance plan.
- Creates a supportive yet realistic work environment for people with disabilities; Ensures disabled employees receive a balance of training support and hands-on work.
- Communicates effectively with employees, peers, and management
- Works with custodial supervisors, crew leaders, work services counselors and employees to pro-actively resolve workplace issues
- Identify opportunities and monitors programs to improve employees moral and foster team building
- Develops supervisors' leadership skills through appropriate supervision, guidance and training
- Works with division members to ensure 75% of workers on site are severely disabled as required by the contract; Works to develop new recruitment strategies to attract new program participants
- Safeguards corporate assets located at the site
- Compiles data and information for reports as needed/requested (i.e. payroll, purchase, orders, etc.)
- Reviews and properly documents incidents and accidents; Reviews reports for trending submitting findings and recommendations to management
- Ensure all safety policies are adhered to in accordance with OSHA and organizational policies and procedures.
- Operates a company vehicle.
- Coordinate with supervisors to assist with staffing coverage as needed.
- Hold monthly staff and safety meetings with employees and properly document meetings.
- Conduct measurements/pricing for new contract additions or modifications.
- Performs other duties as assigned
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; College degree preferred
- Five years Project Management experience with a focus on large department preferred.
- Five years supervisory custodial experience with a focus on large department, contract or project management required.
- Prior experience working with people with severe disabilities required
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Must possess a current valid and unrestricted driver's license and be fully insured according to Maryland law. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Medium Lifting up to 50 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 pounds. May be required to regularly stand for extended periods of time, walk, reach with hands/arms with full range of motion, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, push or pull. Regularly required to talk and hear. Frequently required to use hands and fingers to hold, handle and feel objects, knobs, keys and/or buttons. TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: Travel is defined as travel to all areas within Goodwill's territory (Cecil, Harford, Baltimore, Howard, and Anne Arundel Counties, Baltimore City and the entire Eastern Shore of Maryland). In some cases, long-distance travel, including overnights may be required but is typically planned in advance. In some cases, travel may be unplanned.
