Job Description: Position Summary: The Loan Servicing Representative- Mortgage Loan Servicing is responsible for loan administration, maintenance, borrower inquiries, payment processing and payoff releases, as well as document management and retention of mortgage loans. Servicing is a resource for both internal and external sources for continued maintenance and operation of mortgage loans from closing to maturity and the end of retention period thereafter. Additionally, the incumbent will be facilitating the setup, maintenance and servicing of our commercial credit card portfolio. Primary Responsibilities and Duties:
- Provide a positive member service experience by responding to various forms of communication such as phone, email, secure messaging, e-signed processed, or in person (if required).
- Manage the post booking life of mortgage and commercial credit cards. Which includes onboarding new loans, performing maintenance on current loans, processing payoff requests, posting and adjusting payments.
- Responsible for escrows and other additional holding accounts associated with mortgages by completing required disbursements within expressed timelines, reviewing various quality control reports, following compliance guidelines for monitoring and maintaining these funds. Must be able to effectively review and communicate all requirements to our members as well as fellow Everwise employees.
- Able to adjust knowledge and familiarity of processes between various servicing systems, as well as our main core banking system.
- Perform quality control audits of system data for loans to ensure all pertinent loan information is accurately transferred between the servicing systems and main core banking system.
- Ensure compliant and on time credit bureau reporting of all mortgage loans and commercial credit cards. When needed collaborate with fellow Loan Servicing areas to investigate, identify, and implement necessary correction to credit bureau reporting data.
- Follow all expected service guidelines on all loans sold to secondary market investors such as Fannie Mae and FHLBI. This includes all participating loans with other financial institutions.
- Ensure the accurate and timely closing out of all paid off loans, including the release of collateral and cancellation of all third-party loan maintenance service upon satisfactory payment.
- Effectively work cross-functionally with other departments throughout the credit union, maintaining a courteous and professional collaborative cadence to resolve loan or servicing related issues.
- Assume additional responsibilities as necessary for the continued growth and advancement of Everwise.
Knowledge/Skills:
- Transaction Reconciliation, highly accurate data entry skills and detail orientated research.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task and prioritize the workload.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Minimum Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Previous work experience in payment processing, customer service or related field required.
- Previous financial institution or mortgage lending experience preferred.
- Knowledge of lending regulations preferred.
