Kennedy Jenks is seeking a Senior Asset Management Professional to join our Management Consulting Team. In this leadership role, you'll drive business growth, oversee project delivery, and mentor junior staff while managing asset management programs across Washington, Oregon, and California.

This is an exciting opportunity to partner with agencies of all sizes, helping them develop efficient workflows, high-quality data strategies, and effective utility management frameworks to improve decision-making and long-term infrastructure sustainability.


Key Responsibilities:

Business Development




  • Identify and pursue new opportunities, building strong client relationships.



  • Lead proposal development and marketing efforts.



  • Collaborate with internal teams to expand our asset management services.




Project Delivery




  • Act as a subject matter expert, helping agencies tackle complex utility challenges and optimize asset management programs.



  • Develop and implement asset management plans, including asset inventories, life-cycle cost analyses, service level setting, project prioritization, and long-term financial planning.



  • Support Effective Utility Management (EUM) studies, including gap analysis, strategic planning, and execution.



  • Provide guidance on Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) selection, implementation, and long-term use.



  • Apply Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) and Reliability-Centered Design (RCD) principles to enhance asset longevity and efficiency.



  • Manage projects, including contract negotiations, budget oversight, subconsultant coordination, and issue resolution.



  • Mentor junior staff and foster a collaborative work environment.



  • Travel as needed for client meetings, site visits, and industry events.




Qualifications:


  • 12+ years of combined consulting experience with municipal utilities or direct work in a municipal utility.



  • Strong technical knowledge of the water/wastewater industry.



  • Proven ability to build trust with clients and provide excellent service.



  • Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.



  • B.S. in Engineering, Geography, Management Information Systems, Environmental Science, Business, or a related field.



  • Certification in one or more of the following is highly desirable:




    • Professional Engineer (PE)



    • Certified Reliability Engineer (CRE)



    • Institute of Asset Management Certification (IAM)



    • Certified Reliability Leader (CRL)



    • Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP)

The salary range for this position is anticipated to be $150,000 - $225,000, and will vary based upon education, experience, qualifications, skills, licensure/certifications, seniority, and geographic location.
