As part of a small team the Integration Engineer will be responsible for facility construction/modification support, facility operation, maintenance, and test article integration for rocket engine and space vehicle testing activities. This position will directly impact the history of space exploration and will require your dedicated commitment and detailed attention towards safe and repeatable spaceflight.

Shift: Monday - Friday (6am-2:30pm)

Responsibilities:

  • Manage test facility construction, operation, and maintenance.

  • Fabricate and route pressurization and propellant tubing.

  • Integrate and check out test articles.

  • Review and follow test procedures.

  • Operate test facility systems and install instrumentation.

  • Troubleshoot instrumentation, valves, and leaks.

  • Collaborate with engineers on design concepts and development tests.

  • Plan and communicate complex mechanical installation steps.

  • Provide design feedback on test stands and articles.

  • Support testing campaigns with flexibility, including shift work or extended hours.

  • Ensure safe working practices with hazardous chemicals and high-pressure systems.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of experience in rocket engine test facility support, propulsion facility/system operation, integration, or maintenance, or closely related applications.

  • Experience with pneumatic systems, propellant loading and off-loading systems.

  • Proficiency in test facility construction, operation, and maintenance.

  • Demonstrated ability to work with test, flight, and safety-critical hardware.

  • Experience with instrumentation, sensors, and electronics.

  • Skill in using standard mechanical tools and fabrication shop equipment.

  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, including P&IDs and fabrication drawings.

  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of a variety of rocket propellants, including Hydrogen Peroxide, RP, and cryogenics.

  • Knowledge in the use of computer programs such as AutoCAD or Creo.

  • Familiarity with tube fabrication (bend, flare, fittings, etc.) and pressurized system safety.

  • Experience operating heavy lifting equipment such as cranes and forklifts around flight-critical hardware.

  • MIG/TIG and orbital welding experience.

Compensation Range for:

WA applicants is $29.04-$40.65
