Under the direction of the Chief of Cardiology, responsible for the provision of patient care for Cardiac Cath Lab and the Cardiology/Interventional cardiac outpatient clinic. Provides advanced clinical and procedural assistance and support in treating and managing outpatients as part of the multidisciplinary cardiac team. Evaluates patients and performs history and physical, patient preparation, for procedures, and subsequent management. Solves complex clinical problems and communicates directly with the attending physician. Consultant and liaison for patients and families. Provides teaching to patients, staff, and community organizations. Provides on-call coverage and on a sharing basis with IV fellows to be determined monthly. Effectively liaises with community physicians and referrals for expeditious patient care. Helps maintain departmental database and QA. Serves as a leader to residents and technical resource to clinic staff. The Senior Physician Assistant is expected to practice consistently with professional standards of practice. Collaborative judgment with physician is expected to be exercised within the context of interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary approaches to patient care. Under general supervision, the Senior PA performs operational level duties as described in the Series Concept. The primary emphasis of this position is direct patient care delivery. Assignments at this level primarily encompass management of patients who present chronic and/or episodichealth problems. Assignments at this level may include responsibility for occasional community teaching programs, participation in program planning and development of patient education information. May perform other related duties as assigned. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Pay Transparency Act Annual Full Pay Range: $153,259 - $201,889 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%) Hourly Equivalent: $73.40 - $96.69 Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable). |
