Senior Product Manager - Infrastructure Automation & Ecosystem Integrations

The Role

As a Senior Product Manager, you will define, create, and deliver full-stack automation and eco-system integrations. You will focus on enabling seamless infrastructure automation through Ansible, Terraform, other DevOps tools, and internally developed offerings while driving deep ecosystem integrations with VMware, Red Hat, Microsoft, and other enterprise platforms. This role is key in delivering operational simplicity with plugin-based solutions, adapters, and integrations that extend automation capabilities across file, block, and object storage, as well as virtualization and cloud-native workloads. Collaborating with industry thought leaders, technology partners, and enterprise customers, you will be the voice of the customer and deliver on Hitachi's mission of providing seamless automation and integration capabilities for modern cloud and data center environments.

Responsibilities
  • Define the vision and strategy for infrastructure automation, and integrations with key enterprise ecosystems.
  • Lead the development of Ansible playbooks, Terraform modules, other automation toolkits, and internally developed offerings for storage, compute, and networking automation.
  • Own the development of VMware, Red Hat, and Microsoft ecosystem integrations, including plugins, adapters, and APIs.
  • Drive seamless automation across file, block, and object storage, ensuring compatibility with cloud and enterprise workloads.
  • Develop and maintain a plug-in architecture to simplify customer adoption of automation across hybrid environments.
  • Collaborate with technology partners to enhance interoperability with VMware VCF/vCenter, OpenShift, Kubernetes, Azure Arc, and other cloud-native platforms.
  • Engage customers and enterprise teams to understand automation pain points and define intuitive orchestration solutions.
  • Own the product roadmap, ensuring timely delivery of automation and integration capabilities that align with customer needs.
  • Create business and technical documentation, including business cases with revenue projections and differentiated business value, sales enablement, whitepapers, solution guides, and best practices.
  • Define roadmaps, release goals, and prioritize features.
  • Evangelize automation best practices at conferences, webinars, and industry events.
  • Collaborate with sales, engineers, and partners to promote automation solutions and drive adoption
  • Monitor relevant emerging industry trends and technologies and work to ensure the portfolio alignment
Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience in product management driving automation and eco-system integrations for full stack across hybrid cloud systems.
  • 6+ years of experience in automation and DevOps, specifically working with Ansible, Terraform, and similar automation frameworks.
  • Deep understanding of enterprise automation workflows and infrastructure as code (IaC) principles.
  • Experience in developing and integrating plugins, APIs, and adapters for enterprise platforms such as:
    • VMware (VCF, vCenter, Aria/vRealize, vSphere, NSX, Tanzu)
    • Red Hat (Ansible, OpenShift, OpenStack, RHEL)
    • Microsoft (Azure Arc, System Center, Hyper-V)
  • Strong knowledge of file, block, and object storage and how automation can enhance storage provisioning and management.
  • Understanding of cloud-native technologies, including Kubernetes, containers, and serverless architectures.
  • Experience working with public cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP) and integrating automation for hybrid cloud deployments.
  • Ability to develop automation blueprints that support virtualized, containerized, and bare metal workloads.
  • Proven ability to manage product lifecycles, from conceptualization to launch, in fast-paced environments.
  • Strong communication skills, with experience presenting at conferences, industry forums, and webinars.
  • An entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work independently to deliver results.
  • A track record of leading cross-functional teams and driving revenue growth.
