PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT Directs distribution and purchasing for all assigned locations or territory. Responsible for the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of all locations. SUPERVISION AND LEADERSHIP Supervises all Location Managers in assigned territory. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Coordinates distribution, warehousing, and purchasing. Develops plans for efficient use of materials, machines, and employees. Reviews operating costs, product quality, and modifies operation and inventory control programs to maintain and enhance profitable operations. Directs preparation of accounting records. Recommends plant budgets to management. Coordinates the purchasing of facility equipment. Provides direction and develops plans to comply with state and federal requirements on environmental issues and D.O.T. regulations. Coordinates and conducts safety training for all employees. Recommends or approves budget, expenditures, and appropriations for product departments. Reviews market analysis to determine customer needs, volume potential, price schedules, and discount rates. Understands and assists in the contracting of product lines. Acts as a liaison between branches and other company departments. Represents the company at trade association and system meetings. OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS Follows GROWMARK's Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures, as they apply. Performs all other duties as assigned. REQUIREMENTS Normally requires a Bachelor's Degree in a business or agriculture related field, or the equivalent thereof, and 5 years or more of operations related work experience to demonstrate knowledge of planning, organization, problem solving, project management and computer proficiency. Prefer an understanding of the GROWMARK System including the Divisions' operations. Demonstrates essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development. Must have and maintain a valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record. Ability to work extended hours as business conditions warrant. Ability to travel independently and overnight. Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on GROWMARK's policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position.
