The MECM (Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager) Analyst will provide IT operations support to our government customers. The analyst will provide support on the day-to-day administration, maintenance, and operations. They will support the management of the distribution of data, ensuring hardware and software systems compatibility, and ensuring logs and alerts are consulted, respond to report requests, tracking and reporting error trends, act upon and assist in monitoring activities and handle related ticketing. The MECM Analyst reports to the Technical Team Lead and supports the Lead's documentation of defined baselines, system parameters and formats.

Responsibilities:

  • Support and/or troubleshoot day-to-day operations such as patching, reporting, compliance, and deployment, perform monitoring and tuning of system performance, provide support on administration, configuration, installation, development, deployment, and maintenance of MECM (formerly SCCM), Adaptiva and/or related packages.
  • Experience or exposure to one of Adaptiva, Axonius and Tanium tools.
  • Support server and workstation client management within a large environment, consisting of over 40,000 unique devices.
  • Follow best practices with respect to package and patch deployment and overall compliance check-ins.
  • Provide routine and out-of-cycle reports to the system administrators and management detailing accurate point-in-time compliance results.
  • Participate in technical discussions and develop, and if needed present, required briefing materials to ensure the customer's needs are met.
  • Work the ServiceNow ticket queues; when required, perform trend and root-cause analysis to resolve groups of trouble tickets; document efforts in the ServiceNow system.
  • Communicate effectively both orally and written with customers, stakeholders, and technical specialists.
  • Provide daily and weekly status reports to the Team Lead.
  • Updating requisite work instructions and SOPs.

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Associate's degree in related field or equivalent experience.
  • 8 years of experience in IT support or related field.
  • 3 years of MECM administration support at mid-level.
  • Proficiency in MS Office tools and Power BI.
  • Experience administrating Microsoft Windows server environments.
  • Deep knowledge of Microsoft Windows Desktop OS Win10 and 11, Server 2019 and 2022.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and pass the DHS Employment Eligibility Verification process.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • ITIL certified.
  • Experience in ServiceNow ticketing system.
  • Experience creating and implementing PowerShell scripts.
  • Experience using the command line.
  • Experience using the Windows Event Viewerand Windows Update Log.

  • Effectively communicate with customers, stakeholders, and technical specialists.
