Essential Job Duties
This 11 month full-time paid internship position will assist in all aspects of fan experience and marketing while promoting NC State University's NCAA Division I 22-sport athletics program. The candidates will serve as the primary marketing contact for assigned sports and secondary contact for additional sports.
This position will be responsible for collaborating with all External Relations units to develop
and execute an integrated external plan for assigned sports, manage the individual sports
budgets; work with the Creative Services team on cohesive branding and creative for
marketing materials; work with Creative Video and Pack Productions to create in-game and
advertising video elements. This person will assist Sports Information Directors and the Social
Media Strategist with implementing promotions on social networking sites including Facebook,
Twitter, Instagram and other applications as needed. This position will be responsible to lead the
gameday presentation for assigned sports including live directing of the event. Additionally, they
will be responsible for enhancing the overall fan experience through traditional and innovative
in-venue entertainment strategies.
The Fan Experience and Marketing Assistant will be required to work directly with a number of
departments on campus and within athletics, including the coaching staff, to develop plans and
season campaigns. This position will also be required to recruit and manage the game day
student volunteer staff. This position is an opportunity to gain exposure to all facets of collegiate
athletic administration (i.e. compliance, facilities, event management, game operations, the
Wolfpack Club).

Minimum Experience/Education

  • Bachelor's degree in related field with a graduation date no later than May 2025.
  • Basic knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Photoshop.
  • The ability to work a non-standard work week including nights, weekends & holidays.
  • A highly motivated, goal and team oriented individual looking for career experience in college athletics; excellent interpersonal and communication skills; computer skills and knowledge.
