TITLE: Business Unit Operations Planner
GRADE: Exempt
DEPARTMENT: Business Unit
LOCATION: Whitesboro, New York
SCHEDULE: This is day shift role, Monday-Friday, 7:30AM-4:00PM
POSITION SUMMARY: Manage all phases of the production cycle from initiation of raw material to shipment of final goods. Manage Customer interaction to facilitate good working relationships and strong partnerships. REporting directly to Business Unit Manager
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Act as a Program Manager and primary Point of Contact for customer interaction. This includes handling routine production meetings, quality and engineering discussions, and contract review.
- Act as a production planner to help drive lean operation excellence. This includes tracking production output vs. capacity, creating and managing capacity files. Forecasting deliveries and driving accountability to the plan. Creating and maintaining a training Matrix.
- Act as a Materials Planner for effective WIP control. This includes scheduling raw material releases, tracking and controlling inventory levels, identifying and rectifying slow moving WIP positions, coordinating outside services and shipping, developing daily production plans
- Help site management create and understand final reports and plans.
- Be a driver for continuous improvement through continued implementation of the Pursuit Production System

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: A Bachelor's degree in Business is preferred with/or 3-5 years' experience in a production control and/or inventory control position in a manufacturing environment.
SKILLS/ABILITIES:
- Project Management Professional Certification, a plus
- MRP systems (SAP or Epicor preferred)
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Access
- Good communication skills
- Experience in a machine shop environment
- Proficient in structuring and formatting proposals
- Strong knowledge of all the aspects of production and operations
- Ability to interpret reports and make operational decisions
- Ability to simultaneously manage people and prioritize multiple requests even without direct reporting

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $75,000.00- $90,000.00. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience, education, and geographic location.
