Shipping Shift Supervisor (Rotational Shifts)

As a Shipping Shift Supervisor, you will manage the Silica packaging and warehousing of bagged products, both packers and FIBCs. You will enforce with the hourly workforce all work instructions, PPG EHS requirements, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and productivity expectations by following the PPG progressive discipline policy.

This is role is 12-hour shifts, both day AND night rotational schedule

Responsibilities:

• Understand the jobs of the hourly positions in the Shipping department, such as Leads, Packers, Bulk Loaders, Shippers, and Day Lead, and maintain a productive crew.
• Ensure customer requirements and quality goals are met regarding all packages, package truck shipments, and bulk shipments.
• Manage Shipping supply inventory for all areas by ensuring supplies are ordered and stocked, including daily items and packaging materials.
• Ensure warehouse space is maintained in all PPG Lake Charles-managed warehouses, by scheduling transfers and communicating space concerns to the Supply Chain Manager and Shipping Manager.
• Oversee all emergency Shipping maintenance activities.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma
• 5+ years of leadership/supervisory experience in a production/warehouse setting
• Experience with shipping is desired
