About This Role:

Create and plan the layout and content of documents and templates. Enforce the Boston Scientific Quality System standards. Interpret and advocate industry technical writing standards and adapt them to BSC's needs. Initiate, coordinate, and lead cross-functional writing projects to meet business requirements.

This is a hybrid work mode based out of our Spencer, IN facility with the expectation of being on-site 3 days per week.

Your Responsibilities WillInclude:



  • Plan, analyze and create content using technical writing theories, methods and tools while actively promoting and participating in cross-functional teamwork environments.
  • Enforce the Boston Scientific Quality System standards. Interpret and advocate industry technical writing standards and adapt them to BSC's needs.
  • Ensure document content quality by consistently managing and organizing information for accuracy and readability.
  • Identify, analyze, recommend, and implement solutions to cross-functional projects relating to technical writing and business process efficiencies.
  • Establish and manage relationships from document to document, within document content, or to other points of reference for product information.
  • Initiate, coordinate, and lead cross-functional writing projects; negotiate project priorities, deliverables, and timelines to meet the needs of compliance and supported functional areas.
  • Explore new writing methods and technologies to recommend and implement innovative solutions.
  • Takes a leading role in providing technical information concerning documents and document systems, and challenges current systems (advantages and limitations) to best utilize changes in document/written communication technologies.
  • Selects techniques to solve document and document system problems and makes sound recommendations.
  • Provide work direction, mentor, and train less experienced writers and supported groups.
  • Technical influence is evident beyond departmental boundaries for matter of plant-wide interest.
  • Has significant expertise in associated quality and document requirements and is thoroughly familiar with the pertinent regulatory requirements.
  • Is a focal point for continuous improvement efforts and the pursuit of document excellence in the department.



Required Qualifications:



  • University degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience required; advanced/graduate degree preferred for some disciplines
  • Minimum 3-5 years experience

The anticipated compensation listed above and the value of core and optional employee benefits offered by Boston Scientific (BSC) - see www.bscbenefitsconnect.com--will vary based on actual location of the position and other pertinent factors considered in determining actual compensation for the role. Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs. At BSC, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the anticipated salary range listed above.

Compensation for non-exempt (hourly), non-sales roles may also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g., any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
