Radiology Triage Nurse

Job Description:

The Radiology Triage Registered Nurseis a full-time position with 32 weekly hours, working four 8-hour shifts. The role includes working every fourth weekend. As a registered nurse, the primary responsibility is to implement the nursing process for each assigned patient and ensure the patient's care is within the parameters of the Nursing Practice.

The Radiology Triage RN is responsible for completing patient documentation in Epic, obtaining health histories, and instructing patients on procedures. They assess the patient's and family's understanding of the health status, perform routine and ongoing assessments, and develop individualized care plans. The nurse implements physician orders, assists Radiologists, and performs procedures such as administering medications, IV therapy, moderate sedation, and treatments in accordance with nursing policies and standards.

Requirements:

Active Kentucky RN License.

Cardiac Monitor experience preferred but not required.

BCLS required within 90 days of hire.

ACLS required within 6 months of hire.
