Salary Range: $148,000 - $160,000 (depending on experience) Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced Computer Systems Architect with 10+ years of expertise in designing and developing solutions to complex application problems, system administration challenges, and network concerns. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in systems management, integration functions, and Agile development methodologies to support the Reliability & Maintainability Information System (REMIS). The candidate must possess strong collaboration, documentation, and communication skills to lead engineering efforts, maintain system integrity, and enhance operational capabilities within the Air Force maintenance environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain engineering discipline through Agile, real-time collaborative tools (e.g., Confluence, Jira, Zephyr, Bitbucket, Microsoft Teams). Ensure all development activities include change control, test materials, configuration setups, and data loads for each release.
- Maintain REMIS data integrity, reliability, and mission availability. Support transition periods between incumbent and incoming contractors, ensuring smooth knowledge transfer and safeguarding REMIS integrity.
- Utilize AWS GovCloud for development and testing while ensuring compliance with Air Force security policies. Maintain DISA-hosted environments, ensuring compliance with STIG requirements, ACAS scanning, and cybersecurity protocols.
- Ensure application availability, monitor data transactions, and rapidly resolve system deficiencies. Provide classified data spill management and ensure compliance with AFMAN 17-1301 for cybersecurity incident response.
- Manage patching, security updates, and compliance audits. Perform cybersecurity evaluations, including STIGs, SRR scans, IA control validation, and vulnerability assessments using Checkmarx.
- Ensure REMIS compliance with CFO/Financial Improvement and Audit Remediation (FIAR) and Standard Financial Information Structure (SFIS). Assist with audit reporting and financial data calls.
- Collaborate with the Government Product Owner to prioritize and refine user stories. Continuously adjust backlog requirements to align with mission objectives and operational priorities.
- Develop and maintain REMIS system architecture, decompose backlog requirements, and contribute to Agile product roadmaps. Support integration of DevSecOps practices into REMIS release pipelines.
- Maintain User Manuals and Help Screens for existing and new REMIS functionalities. Ensure proper documentation and knowledge sharing across the development lifecycle.
- Develop and implement automated testing tools for functionality, performance, security, and compliance. Establish automated CI/CD testing environments to simulate production and enhance software validation.
- Oversee REMIS release planning, configuration management, and deployment activities across development, test, pre-production, and production environments. Ensure rollback capabilities for seamless release management.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in systems engineering, network administration, and software architecture.
- Extensive experience in Air Force maintenance operations, Agile methodologies, DevSecOps, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Proficiency in AWS GovCloud, DISA environments, STIG compliance, cybersecurity best practices, and system monitoring tools.
- Strong knowledge of Jira, Bitbucket, GitLab, Zephyr, Confluence, and automated testing frameworks.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or a related field.

- Must be a US Citizen
- Active Secret clearance
