  • Seton Medical Center Harker Heights is an 83-bed acute care hospital offering services such as Cardiology, Emergency Services, and a Level IV Trauma Designated ER, General Surgery, Orthopedic Surgery, Total Joint Replacement, Gastroenterology, Diagnostic Services, and more.

Responsibilities

  • Greets and acknowledges all co-workers and guests in a friendly and courteous manner. Interacts with staff on a daily basis in regards to schedules, needs/ concerns.
  • Executes proper phone procedures; directs calls to appropriate personnel and customers.
  • Maintains supplies, forms, and equipment as needed for functioning department.
  • Coordinates all data entry for nursing that is associated with scheduling.
  • Tracking and data entry associated with timekeeping and attendance.
  • Assists in coordination/communication of daily staffing to Department Manager(s)/Director(s) and House Supervisor.
  • Other staff coordination duties as assigned by Acute Care Manager/Director
  • Wears ID badge and dresses professionally in compliance with SMCHH's dress code.
  • Protects patients' and co-workers' right to privacy and confidentiality and follows HIPAA guidelines.
  • Complies with safety standards and takes responsibility for the improvement of the work environment.
  • Serves as an ambassador of SMCHH by promptly welcoming customers, showing sensitivity to how actions are perceived, and taking responsibility for actions.
  • Demonstrates respect for SMCHH's financial resources and does not waste.
  • Maintains an ethical business environment and follows SMCHH's Corporate Compliance guidelines as outlined in the Code of Conduct.

Qualifications

Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalency
  • BLS within six months of hire

Preferred Job Requirements

  • Associate Degree
  • Certified Nurse Aide
  • Previous Acute Care Hospital Experience
  • Previous Leadership experience
