Acara Solutions is seeking an Engineering Technician to join our client on a Temp to Hire opportunity located in Palo Alto CA
Target pay rate: $38 - $40/hr.
Day Shift
As an NPI Engineering Technician, you'll play a key role in ensuring the successful launch of new power electronics products. You'll be responsible for preparing materials and tools for NPI builds, trialing new materials, and maintaining high standards for NPI core functions. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure line readiness and meet critical timelines.
  • Prepare materials and tools for NPI builds, ensuring quality and accuracy in execution.
  • Perform self-validation, check previous work, and meet deadlines.
  • Provide feedback, suggest process improvements, and iterate standard work.
  • Support field investigations, unique projects, and instrumented builds.
  • Assist engineers in the development, fabrication, and optimization of electromechanical equipment.
  • Troubleshoot equipment or process issues and implement improvements.
  • Experience with hand tools, machine tools, and semi-automated/automated equipment required.
Job Requirements
Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • 3 years minimum of hands-on experience in assembly for new products.
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • Solid understanding of electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
  • Proficiency in operating production machinery and basic programming.
  • Strong manual dexterity and precision in workshop settings.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Experience with NPI of power electronics or mass production is a plus.
