This is a full-time, 40 hour per week, day shift position.

The Clinical Nurse Manager in Surgical Specialty is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the clinical team within the ambulatory surgical specialty practices, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, efficient, and patient-centered care. This role includes supervising clinical staff, optimizing workflows, and coordinating patient care to enhance safety, efficiency, and outcomes. The Clinical Manager collaborates with providers, practice managers, and clinical teams to improve clinical services, streamline processes, and maximize productivity across practice locations. Additionally, they play a key role in staff development, protocol adherence, and continuous quality improvement initiatives.


Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

  1. Education: BSN preferred.
  2. License/Certifications: Active State of Maine Nursing License or eligible for licensure. Current BLS certification.
  3. Experience: Five years of experience in the nursing field. Supervisory/managerial experience preferred. Experience working with computers.
  4. Comprehensive knowledge of nursing practices and standards, medical procedures, tests, and clinical/clerical skills necessary to perform all functions and assist providers. Knowledge of pharmacology is desirable. Knowledge of pharmacology is desirable.
  5. Interpersonal and communication skills necessary to interact effectively with patients, families, and other health care providers.
  6. Analytical ability sufficient to identify patients at risk and initiate appropriate action.
  7. Ability to identify potential crisis situations involving patients and/or families, and to plan strategies for managing these situations when they arise.
  8. Analytical ability required for gathering and interpreting information necessary to resolve problems in an accurate and timely manner. Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail.
  9. Ability to maintain confidentiality
