Posting Summary |
The Rutgers School of Nursing is seeking full time faculty qualified to direct the RN to BS in Nursing Program for our Entry to Baccalaureate Program. In this role, the successful candidate will work collaboratively with the associate dean, nursing colleagues and colleagues from other disciplines; function as lead program administrator; teach and collaborate in supervision of faculty who teach in the Program and evaluation of the Program; maintain clinical practice competence; remain actively involved in professional organizations; maintain scholarship in their field; and actively seek opportunities for and participate in School of Nursing faculty governance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Act as administrator responsible for directing the RN to BS in Nursing program. This will include participating in program evaluation and modification, recruitment, student advisement and mentorship, and periodic curricular review and updates.
- In collaboration with the associate dean and faculty, review the Student Satisfaction & Engagement survey data, course survey data, alumni survey information, and other data, to evaluate the program and make modifications on an ongoing basis.
- Partner with the School Admission team to host admissions sessions, develop marketing materials, ensure the website is updated, and ensure information about the program on social media is accurate.
- Meet with students on a one-to-one basis on admission and each semester to chart progress, identify courses that remain and counsel to support progress.
- Actively participate in division-wide curricular changes and update courses and syllabi to ensure adherence with CCNE standards.
- Meet with students applying to enter the program on a one-to-one basis to determine which courses can be transferred into Rutgers and develop a personal plan of study based on the student's academic and professional preparation, including clinical experience.
- Direct, supervise, monitor, and support faculty that teach in the program.
- Take responsibility for the NJ Transfer equivalency software program for transferring courses from community colleges to four-year institutions.
- Participate in the baccalaureate-level curriculum planning and update discussions and processes.
- Teach undergraduate-level didactic, simulation, and clinical practicum courses as needed and in line with areas of expertise.
- Maintains own program of research or clinical scholarship as appropriate for rank.
- Maintains national certification as appropriate.
- Adheres to policies and procedures of the SON, University, academic partners and

Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience |
- Doctoral degree (PhD or DNP) required, Doctoral program in progress may be considered
- At least 5 years experience teaching baccalaureate nursing students in didactic and/or clinical settings.

- Current Licensure or eligibility for RN Licensure in New Jersey

- National certification in specialty area of pediatric focus.
