Overview The Supplier Enablement team is a new team in Finance Operations (FinOps), formed to transform how Microsoft manages and supports Indirect Procurement. This position is part of the FinOps Leadership Team and is responsible for partnering with Microsoft Customer & Partner Solutions (MCAPS) leadership to manage balance-of-trade across the company's top 100 suppliers, as well as engaging key compliance leaders that focus on supplier engagement with various governance programs, including Environment, Social, & Governance (ESG) and Supplier, Security, & Privacy Assurance (SSPA). Additionally, this position will partner with the three Procurement Solutions teams to provide end-to-end support of Microsoft Indirect Procurement, which purchases $25B annually across +22K suppliers. The Senior Director, Procurement of Supplier Enablement will lead a team of Supplier Relationships Managers, Strategic Sourcing, and Responsible Procurement professionals. This role is a fantastic opportunity to influence Microsoft's Procurement and Compliance programs, and drive change with business partners. This role is directly responsible for key procurement priorities to manage key supplier relationships that deliver services/products as well as revenue, reduce the number of suppliers, implement preferred supplier processes, drive +10% savings across all indirect procurement, be a part of delivering company priorities in sustainability and inclusion, and ensure all indirect suppliers adhere to the company's policies of security, responsible AI, and privacy.
ResponsibilitiesLead a team of 25 procurement professionals responsible for strategic supplier relationships. These teams manage the top 100 suppliers for the company, working with MCAPs and other enterprise teams on balance-of-trade negotiations. Negotiate, monitor and provide strategic oversight for the company's top 100 suppliers Master Service Agreements and relevant Statements of Work. Manage the key suppliers performance against Key Performance Indicators (KPI's), develop key relationships, deliver value and mitigate risk in conjunction with industry standard Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) principles.Lead a team of 30 in Responsible Procurement accountable for mitigating risk via Procurement's SSPA and Supplier Compliance programs. Additionally, align Procurement results and programs with Microsoft's Sustainability, Inclusive Buying, and supplier governance goals. Lead a team of 15 in Strategic Sourcing responsible for the myDevices hardware sourcing, and all software sourcing. Correlate the Supplier Enablement team goals to support and align with Procurement Solutions to drive strategic priorities. Drive results with active involvement, communication and influence. These priorities are aimed at simplifying the procurement process, while driving +10% savings for the company through preferred suppliers and reducing the total number of suppliers. Partner with Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) leaders to understand external resource spend, find efficiencies, and ensure it aligns and exceeds business priorities. Drive decisions across all spend categories to create clarity of accountability across the procurement teams. Establish functional standards and set clear performance expectations. This includes defining key performance indicators (KPIs), developing (or improving) standardized processes and protocols, and ensuring compliance. Additionally, monitor and evaluate activities to ensure alignment with organizational goals and continuous improvement.
