Job Purpose

National Grid is seeking a meticulous and organized Associate Technical Assistant to join our Compliance & Training group within the LNG Operations department. The ideal candidate will possess strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage time effectively. This role requires proficiency in data analysis and data visualization to ensure the safety and compliance of our LNG operations.

Key Accountabilities

* Assist in conducting thorough testing of control designs to ensure they effectively address associated risks and comply with regulatory standards.

* Review and analyze documentation, such as standards and procedures, to evaluate control effectiveness.

* Assist in retesting controls after remediation to confirm their effectiveness and compliance.

* Utilize data analysis and visualization tools to interpret data and present findings in a clear and concise manner.

* Create, maintain and issue monthly reporting on departmental KPI's, training qualifications and inspection results vital to the departments operating needs.

* Maintain plant personnel training records for review by regulators during inspections. As part of this process confirm that employees are performing their training in a timely manner to meet the requirements of the LNG code. Report any deficiencies found and work with plant supervision to resolve issues.

* Provide training to new supervisors on how the training program works and their responsibilities to keep the plant compliant relative to training.

* Assist in the communications with outside agencies and internal company departments to deliver and resolve issues such as regulatory filings, request for information, employee contacts, etc.

* Create, maintain and issue reports and documentation that is vital to the departments operating needs.

* Stay updated on industry regulations and best practices to continuously improve testing processes and methodologies.

Key Qualities

* Attention to Detail: Ability to meticulously review and analyze control designs and documentation to identify potential risks and gaps.

* Organization Skills: Strong organizational skills to manage multiple reporting activities and maintain accurate records.

* Time Management: Efficiently manage time to meet reporting and scheduling deadlines.

* Data Analysis: Proficiency in analyzing data to evaluate control effectiveness and identify trends or anomalies.

* Data Visualization: Ability to create clear and informative visual representations of test results using tools such as PowerBI or similar software.

Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Engineering, Business, or Information Technology.

* 3+ years of experience.

* Must have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to develop, maintain and manage relationships at all levels within the company.

* Experience in control testing, compliance, or a related field.

* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

* Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools.

* Working knowledge of computer applications (Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.) as well as various intra-departmental mainframe systems is desired.

$56k - $67k a year
