JOB DESCRIPTION:

A Control Shop Panel Laborer assists in the assembly, wiring, and preparation of electrical control panels. This entry-level role supports technicians and electricians by handling materials, organizing components, and performing basic tasks related to panel production.

Job Responsibilities:



  • Assist in the assembly and wiring of control panels under supervision.
  • Organize and prepare materials, tools, and components for panel production.
  • Cut, strip, and label wires as instructed.
  • Drill, tap, and mount electrical components onto panels.
  • Follow safety procedures when handling electrical parts and tools.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Support technicians with panel testing and troubleshooting as needed.
  • Load, unload, and transport materials within the shop.
  • Perform other general labor duties as assigned.


Qualifications & Skills:



  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic understanding of hand tools (drills, wire strippers, screwdrivers, etc.).
  • Willingness to learn electrical wiring and assembly techniques.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift moderate weights.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or electrical environment is a plus but not required.


Work Environment:



  • Works in a workshop or manufacturing setting.
  • May be exposed to noise, dust, and electrical components.
  • Requires standing, bending, and lifting throughout the shift.
