Student Auxiliary Services - UMKC Division of Student Affairs Job Description
The Student Union, an auxiliary service department within the Division of Student Affairs, is seeking a dynamic, detail-oriented professional to lead Conference Services in the role of Event Manager. Serving as the principal customer service representative of the department, the Event Manager role manages the event and conference activity within the Student Union facility, auxiliary portions of the Atterbury Student Success Center, and designated outdoor spaces throughout campus. Hosting over 5000 event and conference activities annually, the Student Union desires an individual to lead the reservation process, engage with clients to develop pre-event logistics, distribute timely and accurate operational information internally, and successfully collaborate with operations teams in the execution, business reconciliation, and evaluation of event and conference activity. The Event Manager serves as the primary liaison for the campus in the cultivation, accommodation, and successful production of the campus Summer Conference and Housing Program. Duties and Responsibilities
Shift
This position would be scheduled 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, with flexible hours available at selected times to match event schedules. Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 3 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary. Preferred Qualifications
Anticipated Hiring Range
Up to $60,000 annually, commensurate with experience, education, and internal equity. Application Deadline
