Job Duties: Vice President, Accounting Services with Goldman Sachs Services LLC in Dallas, Texas. Ensure accurate and timely settlement of transactions to prevent charges, disruption of essential services within the Firm, and compliance with regulatory obligations for Latin America countries, including Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Peru and Mexico. Evaluate and approve vendor data creation in the Firm's database, settlements of Firm's liability to service providers across Latin America, tax settlements to local authorities, tax reporting and procedure reviews. Work with internal and external auditors reviewing processes and gathering evidence to ensure better risk and controls. Review Sanction Screening of beneficiaries that are paid manually in the bank portals. Resolve critical escalations from internal clients and vendors. Build project business case and timelines, document requirements in partnership with Engineering teams and end user community, as well as delivering change management tasks. Communicate progress and relevant updates to project stakeholders across divisions, including providing periodic updates to senior leadership while facilitating decision making where required. Allocate work and project assignment to team members, define team priorities and strategy, approve timesheets, engage in people management activities and participate in job interview processes for open positions.

Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or in a related role. Prior experience must include five (5) years in the following: working with Global Payment Processes, including experience with SWIFT payment messages (MT103, MT202, MT940), Internet Banking used across the globe for transfer or wire funds; working on taxes and withholding taxes applied for Latin America Countries that are required when paying local vendors at an invoice level, such as Value-Added Tax (VAT) and withholding tax for Brazil; working with Latin America Payment Process in line with local regulatory obligations, such as Boleto payment method and Transferencia Bancaria (TED); reconciling company's internal books and records related to vendor payments against external data to ensure that information is being recorded properly into financial statements; monitoring and addressing fail payments, return of funds and account funding to perform required payments on a daily basis; and identifying, raising and proposing solutions to reduce risks on processes being performed, such as tax application, duplicate, or incorrect payments.
