Mental Health Associate Req #: 0000190009 Category: Behavioral and Mental Health Status: Full-Time Shift: Day Facility: Monmouth Medical Center - Southern Campus Department: Medical Unit-I Location: MMC Southern Campus, 600 River Road, Lakewood, NJ 08701 Job Overview: The Mental Health Associate functions as a care partner with the Registered Nurse to provide nursing care to a diagnostically/developmentally specific patient population; under the supervision of the Registered Nurse, the MHA provides therapeutic interventions and treatments. Also, responsible for unit support activities and clerical/administrative functions as directed. Is responsible for reporting identified safety issues such as hazardous environments (i.e. damaged floors/walls/ceiling tiles/unsecured areas) and medical errors, etc Qualifications: Required: Bachelor's degree in psychology related field OR 5 years of related experience in a psychiatric services setting BLS Certification through the American Heart Association Valid NJ Driver's license Scheduling Requirements: Full-Time Day Shift 36 hours per week Essential Functions: RWJBarnabas Health is an Equal Opportunity Employer
