Job Summary Responsible for supporting Transportation Compliance Manager Essential Duties/Responsibilities: Nothing in this job description restricts management's right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time.
- Responsible for assisting plant locations with driver qualification files - updates, questions regarding compliance. Email monthly DQ compliance report by region.
- Emails overall DQ compliance percentage to DQ Compliance Manager
- Responds to previous employer requests for drivers that have left Darling's employment.
- Emails weekly expiring renewable reports to respective plant locations.
- Backup DOT Compliance Manager in qualifying drivers for hire by reviewing MVR to ensure candidate meets hiring criteria, enter and review clearinghouse request once accepted
- Emails plant locations regarding assignment of Unidentified Driving Events
- Reviews UDEs to ensure they are assigned correctly and efficiently
- Reviews root cause as to why UDEs occurred and address with the location.
- Completes annual driver reviews by location. Review MVR and complete annual review form confirming drivers are cleared to continue operating for Darling. Email completed annual reviews to DQ File Management provider for inclusion in driver qualification file.
- Collaborates with plant locations regarding outstanding medical card certification statuses
- Ensures all Darling drivers submit their medical cards to the state
- Submits and reviews MVRs for compliance
- Reviews and approves Supervision MVR notifications. If drivers are disqualified to operate for Darling, contacts the plant location to inform them. Review non-dot personnel as well.
- Responsibility in the Quarterly Reasonable Suspicion Assignment audit to ensure training is/has been assigned to all managers and/or other personnel who supervise drivers. If training has not been assigned to a new manager/supervisor - assign training accordingly.
- Reviews probationary drivers list by running MVRs every 6 months to ensure drivers remain eligible to operate a CMV for Darling
- Prepares and emails "no driver log out" report to all locations with drivers on that report
- Follow-up with locations who have drivers who are habitual violators.
- Work with Corporate Fleet Technology group on projects related to Fleet Needs
Minimum Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in an administrative role within a Fleet Company or a College Degree
- High School diploma or equivalent require
Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrates high ethical practices with exceptional decision making abilities
- Must be tech savvy with Microsoft Excel and Access; able to create/build reports to streamline various DOT compliance areas
- Ability to measure and report operational progress
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced, demanding environment, managing multiple priorities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Functional use of various computer based programs, to include Microsoft Office, specifically Outlook, Excel, Word and Teams, and other related fleet technologies
- Ability to prioritize work to meet Fleet deadlines
- Ability to travel when needed
