Description

Salary Range: $125,000-$165,000

The Superintendent is responsible for providing management at the project level, overseeing and managing construction, cost expenditure, quality, schedule, design clarifications, specialty contracting, reporting (verbal and written) to Project Director, and Hotel property coordination. The Superintendent position is available in either San Francisco Bay Area, Los Angeles, or San Diego. Immediate job assignment in Santa Clara, Caifornia.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:



  • Oversees and schedules all construction related activities any given projects
  • Coordinates with jurisdictional agencies, utility companies, consultants, design engineers, surveyors and subcontractors
  • Performs and instructs policies, procedures, philosophies, and paperwork required by company
  • Produce daily, weekly, and monthly reports as applicable
  • Informs management of problems associated with the construction of projects
  • Analyzes and understands local and national building codes and be able to perform within those stated standards
  • Delivers projects within desired timeframes set by the company
  • Manages the construction of a quality hotel within the standards set by the Company
  • Safeguards the job site from hazardous situations and material
  • Secures the company's property and protect it from theft, vandalism and damage
  • Interacts with the local governing jurisdiction to obtain all required inspections that conform to the master plan approvals
  • Analyzes and understand the manufacturer's recommendations of the use and application of their products and be able to manage the use of the product
  • Manages all relationships with Internal Customers (CEO, Hotel General Manager, Hotel Chief Engineer, Project Director, Designers, Corporate) to obtain a professional and successful relationship
  • Interacts with the on-site staff to help ensure the company's objectives are being met
  • Teaches, trains and motivates the Assistant Superintendents (if applicable) to provide them the opportunity to advance their career
  • Motivate General Contractors and Specialty Contractors to succeed on projects
  • Review incoming inventory deliveries for product quality (free of damages during transport), quantities reflecting purchase order, and presence of all required materials prior to commencement of construction
  • Trains the general contractors and subcontractors to have a thorough knowledge of the policies and procedures of the hotel property
  • Manages and controls all direct and indirect construction expenditures for the project(s) if there is no Project Director or Project Manager assigned on project
  • Reads and interprets blueprints to reproduce the desired results
  • Walk/inspect project, every day if based on the project.


WHAT WE NEED:



  • High School Diploma
  • Must have recent experience in hotel renovation construction.
  • Must have at least 8 years' experience in Construction
  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction, Engineering or Management preferred
  • Must be detail oriented and organized
  • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Must have general computer skills
  • Must be experienced and willing to do some detail and labor work if necessary
  • May work evenings and/or weekends as needed
