Manager, Facilities and EH&S

The Opportunity:

Responsible for overseeing the effective management and operational excellence of all facilities at Picarro worldwide. This role will lead the preventive and corrective maintenance of critical infrastructure, risk management, vendor management, and the promotion of safety and security across global facilities.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Lead the management of office and manufacturing ensuring all regulatory and safety standards are adhered to.
  • Oversee building and grounds maintenance across all Picarro facilities worldwide, ensuring optimal functionality and appearance.
  • Direct custodial functions, ensuring cleanliness and a safe, healthy environment for employees.
  • Spearhead the Environmental, Health, and Safety (EH&S) function at all Picarro sites, creating and enforcing policies and procedures to promote safety and mitigate risks.
  • Lead facility construction and tenant improvement projects, collaborating with contractors and vendors to ensure high-quality execution.
  • Review and manage service contracts, ensuring cost-effective and efficient operations for all maintenance and facility services.
  • Conduct regular facility inspections to identify areas of improvement and ensure compliance with safety regulations and functional requirements.
  • Supervise and monitor vendor performance, ensuring that work is completed according to safety standards, timelines, and quality expectations.
  • Lead and coordinate the safety committee, creating and maintaining workplace safety policies and promoting a culture of safety across the organization.
  • Manage forecasting and resource allocation for the physical and financial requirements needed to manage facilities effectively.
  • Maintain close, collaborative relationships with property management teams to ensure smooth operations.
  • Communicate safety and security protocols to all employees and provide training to create a strong safety-first culture.
  • Oversee emergency preparedness and response protocols, ensuring the organization can react efficiently to any unforeseen incidents.



Education and Experience:



  • High school diploma or equivalent required; a degree in facilities management, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • 5-7 years of experience in facilities management, maintenance, and EH&S leadership.
  • Expertise in OSHA safety regulations, environmental regulations, and general maintenance procedures.
  • Strong background in vendor management, procurement, and contract negotiation.
  • Proven leadership abilities with a focus on safety and operational excellence.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for reporting and analysis.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills to interact with stakeholders across all levels of the organization.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with team members and vendors.



Preferred Qualifications:



  • Experience managing facilities that use high-pressure gases or other hazardous materials is highly desirable.
  • Experience with large-scale facility operations and the ability to oversee complex projects effectively.


The salary range for this role is $130-150k annually. Our total compensation packages includes base salary, bonus eligibility, and equity.
