Position Summary Plans, coordinates and assists with the implementation of oncology standards as set forth by accrediting agencies. Monitors and provides assistance with quality assurance and compliance functions. Provides direction to ensure programs and services are implemented at the highest standards with an emphasis on quality assurance. Ensures policies and procedures are monitored and updated to include regulatory changes. Scheduled Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm Education Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Statistics, Healthcare, Business, or a related field. Master's Degree in Nursing or Master's in Business Administration Preferred. Registered Professional Nurse Preferred. Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or other health care quality or patient safety certification preferred. Experience Minimum of 2 years of experience in accreditation, process improvement, quality management and/or project management in a clinical environment. Skills Knowledge of regulatory standards and survey processes. Knowledge of quality improvement tools and techniques, excellent oral and written communication skills, the ability to gather, analyze and communicate technical and clinical data. Microcomputer skills preferred. Proven interaction and communication (oral, writing, presentation) skills to effectively communicate (oral and written) with hospital staff, physicians, and regulatory agents and work cooperatively with same. Demonstrated competence, clinical expertise, and sound professional judgement. Ability to use effective time management to set priorities, perform job related responsibilities, and respond to changing workloads and work environment. Demonstrated ability to use effective analytical and critical thinking skills to problem-solve, make critical decisions, and meet departmental and organizational needs. Attention to details and the ability to perform work accurately, often changing from one task to another without loss of efficiency or composure.
