Position Summary

The Senior Production Designer plays a critical role in the IMPACT Studio, bridging the gap between production execution and management. This role is ideal for an experienced production designer who is both detail-oriented and creative, ensuring high-quality, brand-compliant deliverables while contributing to process improvements and workflow efficiencies. The Senior Production Designer will take ownership of client mechanicals, asset organization, and production oversight while supporting leadership in project execution, creative solutions, and mentoring junior designers.

This role can be based in either NYC or LA.


Responsibilities
Production & Design Execution:

  • Act as the lead point of contact for all creative asset mechanicals and adaptations across print and digital formats.
  • Manage the resizing, localization, and customization of master mechanicals while maintaining brand consistency.
  • Create detailed, highly organized final mechanical files for print, digital, and social platforms, ensuring adherence to production specs.
  • Translate brand guidelines into visually compelling designs, ensuring consistency and alignment with the brand's identity across all platforms.
  • Iterate on design concepts based on feedback, ensuring creative solutions meet both aesthetic and functional needs.
  • Produce detailed, visually accurate mockups and design comps for presentations, pitches, and client approvals, ensuring clear communication of layout, typography, color schemes, and brand aesthetics.
  • Oversee quality control on all deliverables, checking for accuracy in layout, typography, and color consistency.
  • Provide light retouching services when needed and coordinate with external retouchers for high-end finishing.


Project & Process Management:

  • Assist in managing workflows and production schedules, ensuring on-time delivery of assets under tight deadlines.
  • Analyze and refine print production processes to improve efficiency and scalability.
  • Develop and maintain an asset storage and archiving system to streamline project access and file management.
  • Act as a liaison between Studio leadership, Account teams, and external vendors, ensuring smooth communication and file handoffs.
  • Collaborate with clients and cross-functional teams to gather project requirements and feedback to refine design concepts.


Creative & Strategic Contribution:

  • Partner with Studio leadership to develop visual pitch decks and concept presentations for new business opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Account teams and clients to offer creative problem-solving and technical expertise on production challenges.
  • Stay current on design trends and incorporate innovative approaches to keep brand visuals fresh and engaging.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in Out-of-Home (OOH) production.
  • Assist in internal marketing initiatives, including designing materials for IPGMB requests and Cannes submissions.


Mentorship & Growth:

  • Provide guidance and feedback to junior team members, helping to refine their technical skills and production expertise.
  • Step in as a point of contact for Studio operations when leadership is unavailable.
  • Participate in training and development programs to stay at the forefront of production and design advancements.



Required Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in production design, print production, preferably in an agency or media environment.
  • Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop); experience with Premiere Pro and After Effects is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of color management, print production processes, and digital asset specifications.
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Exceptional problem-solving, organization, and communication skills.
  • A keen eye for detail and a strong sense of design and layout principles.

The salary range for this position is posted below.
