Program Scheduler needed for a contract to hire opportunity with SOC's client to work onsite in Bristol, PA.
Contract Length: 12+ months, possibility to convert to client FTE Job Description: Performs schedule analysis in support of assigned programs or projects. Ensures major projects and program schedules and plans are integrated across company functional groups including finance, engineering, material, manufacturing, and quality. Tracks plans and schedules, performs risk analysis, identifies and resolves critical path and network logic conflicts. Utilizes Gantt, PERT, milestone charts, earned value management and other project management techniques to gauge progress and identify performance variances to facilitate focus and intervention on critical areas. Ensures compliance with internal program procedures and project control system guidelines. May lead or participate in scheduling status reviews. Qualifications: * Experienced professional with proficient knowledge of job area and practical knowledge of project management. * May manage projects or processes with general supervision. * Communicates with contacts inside and outside of own department to explain and interpret operational processes, practices, and procedures. * Recommends enhancements to systems and processes. * Works to achieve operational targets for specific programs and projects with moderate impact on departmental results. * The kind of experience we need for a Program Scheduler is typically gained by supporting a large Government contract. One where EVMS is required based on the IPMR DI-MGMT-81861A Required Skills: * Bachelor's Degree in Business, Mathematics, Finance, Engineering, or a related field. In lieu of a degree, equivalent experience may be accepted. * MS Project Proficient (Must have) * Understand key scheduling terms, practices, and processes based on the NDIA PASEG and 32 guidelines * Understand and implement sound EVM processes into the schedule management process * Can bring a group of stakeholders together and create a baseline plan. * Assess schedule health using metrics and/or other indicators to drive IMS improvements - DCMA 14Pt assessment or DECM * Assure horizontal and vertical integration of the schedule (Alignment to the SOW and other authorizing docs-Vert/Logically Linked - Horizontally) * Maintain a controlled IMS baseline and forecast (Understands importance of a Change Control Process) * Produces schedule data that is consistent and accurate * Support the program team and those responsible/accountable for execution of the schedule, status and live and virtual team meeting management. * Understand how to use Critical Path/Float analyses to optimize program resources and implement mitigation strategies through what-if modeling * Aggressively drive a sense of ownership and accountability for schedule data and supporting processes Employment Prerequisites The following requirements must be met to be eligible for this position: successful completion of a background investigation and drug urinalysis.
