Responsible for leading finance support for the commercial teams for Corporate Accounts, Joint Ventures, Independent Distributors, Ammonium Nitrate and Initiation Systems & Primary Explosives wholesale.

What You'll Do

As a Senior Finance Manager, you will manage and lead the finance shared services organization optimizing resources, mitigating financial risks and driving value throughout the business via processes, people and tools. You will create competitive advantages in Financial Systems through superior information and reporting systems, safety, analysis and continuous improvement. Other duties include:

* Manage the day-to-day liquidity of Dyno Nobel Americas by tracking the actual cash position and managing short-term and mid-term cash forecasts

* Interface with Treasury to manage the flow of cash and financial instruments in accordance with company policy

* Interface with US and Canadian Banks to maintain good relationships and compliance with financial covenants

* Manage the Internal Control System of the company along with the other Finance Mangers by setting policies and procedures, being a Process Owner in the monthly account reconciliations, and by being the Key Contact for Internal Audits by KPMG & External Audits by Deloitte

* Manage working capital through effective collection and payment practices

* Provide input into the budget process and maintain financial controls around department spend

* Provide direction and leadership to the Financial Services Departments including Accounts Payable, Cash Management, Corporate Card Administration, Credit & Risks, Payroll, and Property

* Lead the implementation of new systems within and outside of SAP in order to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of Financial Systems

* Provide support to other departments and external vendors in relationship to Financial issues including purchasing, supply chain, external vendors and governmental agencies

* Participate in the integration of acquisition, merger and divestment opportunities

* Appraise activities and performance against business plan and implement actions in response to variances, risks and opportunities

* Develop and maintain effective long-term relationships with all key stakeholders

* Establish SMART goals for team members to ensure results are delivered timely and accurately

* Proactively develop team members to support a continuous improvement organization, increase moral, establish a sense of accountability and value.

* Actively manage performance issues to ensure sound delivery of commitments to the business and our partners

What We're Looking For:

  • B.S. in Accounting, Finance or similar field required. Master's preferred.
  • 10 years of progressive finance leadership, including previous oversight of shared services functions
  • Experience using ERP systems (SAP preferred), MS Office products, Readsoft and payroll processing (preferred)
  • Proven experience in Financial Management Business Planning, Forecasting, Budgeting and Analytics\
  • Knowledge and familiarity with tax filings and end to end payroll processes
  • Experience with treasury related activities/cash management
  • Strong understanding of credit policies and credit risk management
  • Positive attitude, friendly demeanor, and a team player
