Description of primary duties and responsibilities:
Primary Purpose of the Organizational Unit:
The Office of the Registrar exists to serve students, faculty, and administrators. Its primary functions are to maintain student records on each student each semester, oversee the processes of class scheduling and registration; re-enrollment, maintain the integrity and security of student academic records; protecting the privacy of the students based on FERPA regulation; ensure the integrity of grade assignments, GPA calculations, transcript accuracy and print, an enrollment and; ensure the adherence to university policies in all issues related to student academic records; certify student enrollment; provide faculty, administrators, and Office of the President reports and statistical data reflecting student grades and enrollment; advise the faculty and administration about academic and curriculum revisions as needed.

Primary Purpose of the Position:
The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the primary contact for academic appeals inquiries for the student academic appeal process for at risk students, to serve as a liaison to assist with monitoring student academic success plans to ensure continued student academic improvement as needed from Financial Aid, Classroom scheduling, Maintaining the office website and applying necessary updates, processing of undergraduate course overload forms (university, late, retroactive, extenuating, course, etc.), clearing of SDM errors, analyze and process university withdrawal reports, running of requested reports, process FN drops and FN course reinstatement forms and course audit forms, process administrative time conflict requests, review, research and resolve student hold issues, enrollment verifications, office of the registrar functions, beginning and end of term processing and completing tasks required by the Registrar. This position assists the office to ensure continued customer service to our students, faculty, staff, alumni, and potential Broncos.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's degree and one year of experience related to the area of assignment; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
Knowledge skills and abilities:
Professional Knowledge - Knowledge of program policies, procedures, technology, best practices, and their theoretical bases. Ability to interpret and apply various interrelated policies, procedures, and programs for clients and address non-routine issues. Knowledge of new theories, trends, laws, or precedents demonstrated by recommending and implementing improvements or necessary changes to policies, procedures, and/or program(s).

Program/Project Administration - Ability to administer and/or manage a program with established guidelines and standards, or to administer several components of a multi-faceted program. Ability to ensure program/project accountability. Ability to define scope, goals, tasks, deliverables, timelines, tools, and resources. Ability to assess the needs of the work unit or project. Ability to determine gaps and recommend changes in procedures, workflow, and work assignments to improve efficiency and effectiveness in the performance of individuals and the work unit. Ability to develop and monitor program/project databases, schedules, and reports. Ability to ensure accuracy of data and compliance with program standards. Ability to perform professional program administrative duties, including technical decisions. Ability to collaborate in the development and completion of grants and contracts. Ability to administer pre- and post-award agreements. Ability to prepare related reports as required.
Consultation - Ability to advise and collaborate with clients, program participants, and others to resolve complex issues in assigned program area(s). Ability to identify trends. Ability to recognize the impact of policies, procedures, and laws. Ability to apply knowledge and understanding of program culture, issues, and work relationships to address situations. Ability to share knowledge and the critical thinking process. Ability to promote best practices to achieve mutually agreeable outcomes in resolving issues. Ability to determine and document a course of action to address complex, ambiguous, or unique operational and/or programmatic issues in assigned area(s).
Information Analysis and Decision-Making - Ability to analyze business operations and/or financial statements for overall program administration. Ability to develop initiatives to meet program/project needs and objectives. Ability to assess and resolve unprecedented problems that require research and review of policy and procedures for the program or assigned components. Ability to resolve problems or compliance issues, based on delegated authority.
Communication and Marketing - Ability to maintain and enhance professional relationships to increase credibility for building support and reaching consensus when explaining and interpreting program policies and procedures within assigned area(s). Ability to convey sensitive information or decisions to clients. Ability to work toward mutual resolutions in the organization's best interests and across organizational lines. Ability to promote and market assigned area(s) and persuade clients of the needs and beneficial outcomes of the program. Ability to plan and implement marketing strategies and functions. Ability to apply creativity to the development of methods and functions. Ability to take a lead in presentation of products and cultivation of donors. Ability to develop and conduct multiple training programs to meet organizational training needs
Leadership - Ability to develop and manage a program/project plan. Ability to provide consultation on issues and requests from clients. Ability to consult with higher-level professionals to discuss alternative solutions. Ability to supervise staff. Ability to develop and implement short-term strategies consistent with program goals.
Preferred Qualifications:
A master's degree and three to five years of experience working in a higher education setting, preferably in a Registrar's office or related field. Strong knowledge of federal and state regulations related to student records, FERPA, student data privacy, student information systems, and Microsoft Office.
