Description Acara Solutions is seeking a systems/software I&T engineer for the SDA O&I/GMI program to join our client located in Scottsdale AZ on a 2-year contract assignment Workplace Options: Hybrid/Flex role with on-site presence at the Scottsdale location. Position Overview: Join our cross-functional team to develop and deploy cutting-edge ground operational systems for the SDA O&I/GMI program. We are seeking a systems/software engineer with expertise in satellite communications, ground operations, and DevSecOps. Key Responsibilities: Develop and deploy satellite ground operations systems. Lead and support the software development life cycle. Collaborate with teams to provide technical leadership. Apply technical standards and methodologies to solve complex challenges. Drive continuous improvement in systems and professional development. Job Requirements Required Skills & Experience: Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field. 4+ years of experience in satellite communications, ground operations, and ground-to-satellite communication. 4+ years of DevSecOps experience, including familiarity with AWS, GitLab, Kubernetes, Docker, Jenkins, Ansible, and Terraform. 4+ years of experience with CI/CD pipeline development and test automation. 4+ years of experience in missile warning/missile tracking systems, integration, test, and operations. 4+ years of experience with Agile methodologies. Preferred Skills & Attributes: Strong problem-solving skills and creative thinking. Excellent communication abilities, including securing buy-in for ideas. Collaborative team player with a focus on leadership and success. Commitment to continuous professional development.
