Job Description:

Airbus US Manufacturing Facility is looking for a Supervisor I, Ground Support to join our Ground Support Team based in Mobile, AL.

The Ground Support Supervisor reports directly to the Ground Support Manager and leads a team of Ground Support Technicians. The Ground Support Supervisor manages and controls detailed activities to plan, organize, and adjust priorities with assigned resources and budget to meet schedule and key financial performance indicators.

Your working environment:

Nearby on 'Airbus Way' you will find the Airbus U.S. Manufacturing Facility for commercial aircraft. Opened at the Mobile Aeroplex at Brookley in 2015, the facility produces A320 Family aircraft and added a second product line for the A220 in 2019. Your challenges:

*Continuously monitor daily work status, adjust processes and work directions in a timely and comprehensive manner to optimize efficiency, quality and safety. Ground Support Supervisor must provide daily status updates to Management.

*Coordinate with all emergency procedures with a multi-functional team and maintain the readiness status of the group.

*Define and communicate priorities and ensure support to the team.

*Engage and lead the team in a continuous improvement culture. Adapt to situations, seek new ways to improve performance, morale, quality and safety.

2.Tool Control & Asset Management

*Ensure employees have the training, Personal Protective equipment, tools, materials, and data required to perform assigned tasks.

*Initiate and maintain employees' engagement in addressing Foreign Object Damage, Clean as You Go, and related processes.

*Define and implement tool control procedures and related processes.

*Define and maintain tool requirements within the assigned budget.

*Responsible for maintaining the quality of tools utilized in the area.

3.Personnel Development

*Manage team performance by controlling and monitoring all KPIs, analyzing and proposing solutions to optimize and implement improvements.

*Conduct periodic performance evaluations; make recommendations on salary increases (promotion, merit, and adjustment), transfers, hires, and disciplinary actions up to terminations.

*Review and approve time keeping system for daily activities and attendance. Control and Monitor actual hours, activity rate, trend and apply corrective action as required.

*Coordinate the hiring process, support adherence to training milestones, and recommend employee development programs within allocated time and budget.

Your boarding pass:

Education:

*High School diploma or GED is required.

Experience:

*A minimum of 3 years experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, Material Management/ Handling or equivalent experience is required.

*A minimum of 2 years leadership experience in Aviation is preferred.

Licensure/Certifications:

*Aircraft tug, Forklift, Crane, CDL, and/or equivalent is preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, Demonstrated Capabilities:

*Ability to communicate effectively in verbal and written form with internal and external customers.

*Strong Leadership Skills, Ability to work in a multicultural team, high level of flexibility and initiative.

*Ability to maintain positive relationships with all Internal / External Customers

*Driven and motivated to lead, with a proactive approach to problem solving, able to deliver complex tasks to time, costs and quality.

Communication Skills (Spoken, Written, Influencing, Proficiency in Other Languages):

*Effective oral and written communication skills.

Technical Systems Proficiency:

*SAP, ADP, Smart Sheet, Google Sheets, Excel, Power Point

Physical Requirements:

* Vision: adequate to enter and read material on computer screens. Able to identify individuals to initiate greetings, the giving of directions and other business interactions

* Hearing: able to hear sufficiently to engage in conversation in office settings Able to hear safety alerts and warning signals.

* Speaking: able to engage in conversations in person and via electronic means and deliver information to groups of varying size with or without amplification.

* Equipment Operation: Able to operate a wide range of tools and equipment including hydraulic lifts and arms.

* Carrying: able to occasionally carry up to 20lbs/9kg while engaging in training, addressing production issues or as part of continuous improvement projects.

* Lifting: able to occasionally lift up to 30lbs/14kg.

* Pushing/Pulling: able to push/pull items in office areas and on the shop floor.

* Sitting: able to sit for extended periods of time at the computer and in meetings.

* Squatting/Kneeling: able to occasionally squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items shelved on bottom shelves.

* Standing: able to stand for extended periods of time delivering information.

* Travel/Mobility: able to travel overseas and domestically sometimes for extended periods of time and on short notice.

* Able to work outside hangers in changing locations. Able to work on movable lifts at the aircraft at a height of approximately 40 ft.

* Walking: able to walk through office and production areas, around flight line and airstrips and sometimes on uneven indoor or outdoor surfaces other business interactions
